From the Vice Chair for Graduate Medical Education
The Department of Medicine presents the annual Clinical Educator
Awards Day, which recognizes exceptional achievement by residents and
faculty in the areas of clinical care, teaching, service, and scholarly activity.
Today’s honorees have contributed their significant skills and passion to
attaining clinical and academic excellence and to setting a high standard
for us all. We gather today to recognize them for their contributions to
our department and to the dynamic present and future of medicine.
I would also like to extend a special thanks to the members of the
Education and Medicine Administration team for their diligent efforts

As the largest Department in the MUSC College of Medicine, the Department of Medicine provides essential leadership to
numerous programs across the university, MUSC Health, and South Carolina.
Our Department—made up of nine divisions engaged in care at two hospital systems and multiple ambulatory practices—
