Parent & Player Handbook 2018 2019 - Amazon S3
Welcome! I am extremely excited for my second year with the program. Last year was a great season on the
field for all levels and I learned a lot about how to help run the program from an admin standpoint. While there
hasn’t been a lot of communication coming from me or the board over the summer, we have been working
diligently to make improvements in terms of fundraising and overall streamlining things for the staff, players,
and families. Our goal for this year is to streamline and simplify without sacrificing the quality of experience for
the players and families and while maintaining equity and simplicity of payments and costs. Another priority for
us was to be able to come to the parents and players at the beginning of the year and provide a clear and
accurate financial and opportunity roadmap for the entire offseason and season so that families can prepare,
plan, and make choices that best work for them. Again, I have been working a lot with the board on these items
and we are all really excited about the improvements. – Coach Sulzbacher

Henry is entering his second year as head coach. Prior to arriving at Columbine,
he has been an assistant coach at Trinity-Pawling (NY), Fairfax High School (VA),
Legend High School, and, most recently, Denver East. Henry has also coached
with and continues to coach with the DoCo Devils Lacrosse club.

Henry grew up in Seattle and headed to Division III Ohio Wesleyan University.
After a year as a defenseman at OWU, he transferred to play at the University
of Montana where he was a 3x 1st Team All-Conference player. After College, he
spent 1 season with the Calgary Mountaineers Sr. Box Lacrosse team as a

I grew up in Littleton and graduated from Columbine in 2013. I’ve played lacrosse
my whole life and started specializing in the goalie position in 2007. While at
Columbine I was a part of the Columbine teams to start the conference
championship winning streak. I was also apart of the first Columbine final 4 team in
2012. I was first team all state and first team all conference both my junior and
senior year at Columbine. After Columbine I played at Colorado Mesa University,
winning 2 conference championships. I started my coaching career at Ponderosa
High School before coming back to Columbine to coach in 2016. I couldn’t be
Evan Hartman happier to be at Columbine working with the best student athletes and best
JV/L3 Assistant Coach coaches.

We have been working diligently to make improvements in terms of fundraising and overall streamlining things for the
players, families, and staff. Our goal for this year is to streamline and simplify without sacrificing the quality of
experience for the players and families and while maintaining equity and simplicity of payments and costs.
This year, families will be able to fundraise to cover their personal Booster Fees. As we move forward as a program, we

We will have a Raffle that players can sell tickets for to raise money for their personal accounts to cover some or
all of their fees.
• Players will have all of October to get out and sell raffle tickets.
• Raffle sales will end on October 29, 2018.

Our players will host a Spaghetti Dinner for who they invite and sell Dinner Tickets to.
• Each Dinner Ticket that the player sells goes towards their personal accounts and the team (50/50 split).
• The Dinner will be held at Columbine. Date TBD.

In addition, we will have other opportunities to fund raise for the entire program to include but not limited to:

King Soopers Cards

Earnings of 5% from King Soopers are placed in your son's CHS lacrosse account. This costs you nothing, just the dollar amount
that you want placed on the card. You can use the total amount at King Soopers. King Sooper's gives us a reward check each
month and we place 5% of your card purchase into your son's lacrosse account. The cards are reloadable, so whenever you are
ready to put more money on the card, just take it to the store and you can put any amount back on the card. King Soopers will
automatically give you back 5% of that amount to be placed into your son's lacrosse account. This money can be used to pay for
any expenses that the team requires. (registration, banquet, etc.)

You will need to let Denise Tasei know the following:

1) How many cards you would like
2) How much you would like loaded onto each card
3) What is the players last name you want associated with the card. Cards must have a minimum of $2.50 or a maximum of
$500. We can only place an order with King Sooper's if we have a combined minimum total order of $200.

You can pay with cash or check. Please make your check out to Columbine Boys Lacrosse.
