COMMUNITY GROUPS OPEN REGISTRATION
           WINTER 2022
GETTING CONNECTED

We are so excited you are looking to take the next step in being known at
Church of the Saviour! We firmly believe life wasn't meant to happen alone.
We want to see everyone in our congregation plugged into a group to build
relationships, grow in faith, and be equipped to handle life together!
Take some time to think about what you're looking for in a community &
then take a look at our open groups. When you're ready to sign up, there are
two ways to register:

     Register online at coswayne.org/groups, or click here.
     Register after one of the worship services on Sunday 12/5 or
     12/12.

MEN'S GROUPS

   Leader: Jack Aduddell- Book study - Location:
   COS/Wayne
   Meets Tuesdays, 7:00-9:00 p.m. Virtual.
   This men's group welcomes anyone 18 years or older
   and is led by team member Jack Aduddell. Our time
   together will include focused prayer and a study of the
   Scriptures.

   Leader: Drew Angus - Curriculum study - Location:
   COS
   Meets Tuesdays, 6:30-7:45 p.m. Hybrid.
   The gospel shapes leadership; The gospel has the power
   to change anyone, and those who are united to Christ are
   now compelled to live and lead differently because of the
   work of the gospel in their lives. Geared toward
   Millennials and Gen X.

    Leader: Dan Klassen - Book study - Location: COS
    Meets Thursdays, 7:00-8:00 p.m. Virtual.
    A group for men, focusing on studying God's Word and
    discipleship. Exegetical bible study, currently in the Old
    Testament.

WOMEN'S GROUPS
   Leader: Cindy Casey - Sermon-based - Location:
   COS/Wayne
   Meets Tuesday, 6:45-8:00 a.m. Virtual.
   As a study-based group, we love to study the Word of God and
   delve into the Scriptures. Come join us to study the Word
   together, grow deeper in your walk with Christ and apply what
   you've learned to your life. Cindy Casey leads this group. Cindy is
   passionate about sharing Jesus with Cubbies, and in her free
   time, she and her husband, Glenn, enjoy taking road trips on
   their motorcycles.

   Leader: Deneen McDonald - Book study - Location: COS/Wayne
   Meets every other Thursday. 7 p.m. Hybrid.
   This group will continue to discuss the devotional "Gentle and
   Lowly: The Heart of Christ for Sinners and Sufferers". The book
   delves deep into who Christ is and encourages readers with the
   affections of Jesus, and His longing heart to comfort and sustain
   us in the ups and downs of life. We'll discover Jesus' deepest
   heart for those who are weary and suffering is His rest. Open to
   women of all ages, wherever you are in your spiritual journey.
   Led by Deneen McDonald who serves on staff at COS as the
   director for women. Deneen is married, enjoys traveling and
   spending time with her family.

   Leader: Natalie Tibbles - Sermon-based - Location:
   COS/Wayne
   Meets Thursdays, 7:00-8:30 p.m. Virtual.
   We are a group of women who are committed to being
   vulnerable with one another, praying together, and spending
   time reflecting on scripture. We come from various life stages
   and backgrounds. The facilitator, Natalie, has been at COS for
   about 2 years and is a public health researcher, wife to Justin,
   and mother of 2 young boys. She led small group Bible studies
   for many years with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship and with
   previous churches and has loved her experience in the COS
   community group. We will be using the sermon notes to dig
   deeper into the scripture text and consider how it applies to
   our lives.

YOUNG ADULT GROUPS

     Leader: Maria Blubaugh - Sermon-based - Location:
     COS/Wayne
     Meets Wednesdays, 8:00-9:00 p.m. Virtual.
     We are a group of young adult professionals sharing life
     experiences in Christ. In addition to Bible study, we have done
     many fun activities pre-COVID including escape rooms,
     karaoke, rock-climbing, and hotpot. We continue to meet
     virtually to encourage one another in spiritual growth during
     these unprecedented times.

     Leaders: Deborah & Abby - Book study - Location: Phoenixville
     Meets every other Thursday evening. In person.

     This is a group for single and married-without-kids young
     adults, 30 and under. We will share a meal and afterward view
     and discuss the Chosen Series. This group will meet in
     Phoenixville on Thursday evenings. We are pretty flexible about
     figuring out what day, time, and location works best for each
     member.

     Leaders: Hayley & Jeff Gemmell - Sermon-based -
     Location: King of Prussia
     Meets every Thursday evening. In-person.

     We are from Raleigh, NC, newlyweds (both 24 years old) and
     high school sweethearts. We are big beach people and new
     parents to our little golden retriever - Hank. We’ve been
     walking with the Lord most of our lives and are passionate
     about cultivating community and being doers of the Word.
     We’d like to invite other 20 somethings, singles, and marrieds
     to join us.

COUPLES GROUPS

    Leader: Glenn Coughenour - Sermon-based -
    Location: Rotates homes in Delaware County
    Meets every other Wednesday. 7:30 p.m. In person.
    The core of our group is retired persons who have been in
    a small group together for many years. Glenn serves as an
    elder and is a long-time COS member, leads the COS
    Men's Ministry as well as this community group. We are all
    mature Christians who seek deeper understanding of
    sermons and Scripture, and work to apply it to our lives.

   Leaders: Shon & Tammie Rao - Sermon-based -
   Location: Blue Bell
   Meets every other Thursday, 7:30-9:00 p.m. Virtual.
   Shon and Tammie Rao met and were married at COS
   and have been attending for 17 years. Shon works in
   financial services and Tammie is a homemaker. They
   have 3 boys and love traveling and outdoors activities.
   Kids are welcome!

MIXED GROUPS
  Leaders: Robyn & Nathan Jameson - Sermon-based -
  Location: COS/Wayne
  Meets Sundays, 9 a.m. In-person.
  COS CONNECT - If you are new to COS or have been around
  for years and have never really plugged in, this is the group
  for you! Join us in the reception room on Sunday mornings
  during the 9:00 am service for COS CONNECT. Nathan and
  Robyn Jameson have been members since 2006 and
  Nathan has served as an Elder since 2013. They have four
  children ages 14, 12, 7, and 5.

  Leaders: Walt & Elizabeth Anderson - Sermon-based -
  Location: Wayne
  Meets Wednesdays, 7:30-9:00 p.m. In person.
  Are you new? This group is for you! Whether you are still
  exploring Christianity, have recently begun to follow Jesus, or
  are new to Church of the Saviour, this group is for those who
  are new to COS or who have yet to get connected. Liz and
  Walter are married with three kids spanning the ages of 11 to 5.
  They have been attending COS for years and are passionate
  about helping newcomers find real friendship and a sense of
  belonging at COS. Willing to offer hybrid option, too.

   Leaders: Jeff & Christine DeVault - Sermon-Based
   Location: Broomall
   Meets Mondays, 7:00-8:30 p.m.
   Jeff and Christine DeVault have been married for 43
   years, have two married children and six grandchildren.
   They have been attending COS for two years and are
   now members. They love to care for their grandchildren
   as frequently as possible, and host family and friends in
   their home. They welcome all couples and singles on
   Monday evenings to explore the riches of God’s Word as
   spoken through the various sermons.

MIXED GROUPS CONTINUED
       Leaders: Christian & Leslie Eichhorn - Book study -
       Location: Collegeville/Royersford area
       Meets Thursdays, 8:00-9:30 p.m. Virtual.
       We have been attending Church of the Saviour since
       2006. Over the years we have served in several different
       ministries (High School, Alpha Marriage), and have been
       part of a small group that originally started with married
       couples. We plan to choose a book of the bible to study
       together each term with opportunities for fellowship
       and outreach/service. We invite those who live north of
       the church in the College-ville, Pottstown, Royersford
       areas to join us.

       Leaders: Betsy and Mark King - Sermon-based -
       Location: Malvern
       Meets 2nd and 4th Friday. 7:15-8:45 p.m. In-person.
       Mark and Betsy met at Church of the Saviour and have
       been attending for 30 plus years. They have lived in
       Malvern since being married in 1994. Their daughter,
       Heather, attends college in New York City. Betsy is active
       with the Visitation Ministry and participates in Double
       Hope. Mark volunteers one Saturday a month for the Good
       Works home repair Ministry in Coatesville.

ROOTED GROUPS

   Leaders: Erin and Mark Smith - Rooted - Location: COS
   Meets Every Tuesday. 6:30 - 8:15 p.m. Hybrid.

   Rooted is an 11-week experience designed to help you connect
   to God, the church, and your purpose. It is relevant for anyone
   wherever you are in your spiritual journey. Rooted is
   recommended as the next connecting point for people
   finishing Alpha or that are new to Church of the Saviour looking
   for community. Community is built as the group connects
   around studying the Bible, prayer, sharing stories and serving.
   We hope you join us and can’t wait to share this experience.
