Free Testing
1. Testing at one of our SPOCs: Lawrenceville, Lilburn, Newton, or Rockdale
a. SPOC testing is free; however it fills up quickly

5. Testing with Walgreens
a. Walgreens offers drive-thru COVID-19 testing at select locations in partnership with
PWNHealth Provider Network. Testing is FREE for eligible individuals. The link to
schedule a test online is here https://www.walgreens.com/findcare/covid19/testing
b. In order to be tested at Walgreens you need to take a quick survey to see if you are
eligible. Eligibility is based on criteria established by the CDC and state and federal
guidelines.
i. When filling out the survey 1. You agree to terms and conditions. 2. You fill out
your contact information (name, DOB, gender, email, and phone number). Then
you are prompted to answer 8 questions, the first question 1. is about any
symptoms you have, 2. Is about if you have had contact with a diagnosed or
presumed COVID-19 case 3. Have you had contact with someone who is sick but
not diagnosed with COVID-19. 4. In the last 2 weeks have you had any exposures
such as international travel, live or visited an area with community spread
COVID-19 5. Do you work at the following (healthcare facility or as a first
responder) 6. Are you 65 or older 7. Do you have any of the following conditions
(underlying conditions) 8. Are you currently pregnant? After answering these
questions it determines eligibility and you can request an appointment.
ii. After answering the above questions your eligibility is determined, after taking
the survey myself indicating that you have been exposed to a confirmed COVID-
19 case (without symptoms) it allowed me to proceed to scheduling. When you
get to the end after the survey you have the option to request the appointment
online or to call and have someone schedule you over the phone.
6. Testing at CVS
a. CVS offers free COVID-19 tests. Results take 2 – 4 days but may take 6-10 during peak
demand. You can look up a testing site and schedule a test here:

b. At this website you will be prompted to enter the zip code where you live.
c. After entering your zip code you are prompted to an assessment to determine if you
qualify for COVID-19 testing.
i. You are prompted to enter your DOB, symptoms, medical conditions, if you
have been instructed to get testing by your health department or a medical

additional testing sites.professional, if you work or live in a treatment facility, group home, or other
group setting, if you are a healthcare worker or first responder, if you are a
caregiver to someone over the age of 85, and if you live in a nursing home or
long-term care facility.
ii. After answering these questions you are prompted to testing facilities based on
your location. Based on my attempt to schedule online you did not need to have
symptoms to get scheduled. All you needed to indicate is that you were
instructed to test by the health department or a medical professional.
iii. It gave me the option to schedule three days in advance. Scheduling availability
was very limited.
7. Testing at Walmart Pharmacies/Parking lots https://www.doineedacovid19test.com/
a. COVID-19 tests are being offered in some Walmart parking lots through eTrueNorth and
Quest Diagnostics.
i. ETrueNorth Testing Locations (both are currently full through next Tuesday,
they appear to be open every other day from 7:00 AM – 9:00 AM). Testing
appears to be free through this service.

ii. Quest Diagnostics – testing is located in the Walmart pharmacy drive thru. They
will need a prescription request from their doctor to get an observed self-
collection COVID-19 test or a request from their health plan. Appointments only
available on select days. Some out of pocket fees may apply based on insurance.

iii. They accept most health insurance plans, they also offer a self-pay option

ii. Testing is not free. Costs vary based on insurance’s office copay. If no insurance
price is 150$.
iii. Walk-ins available, but spots can be reserved day of. Appointments can be made
5 days in advance but fill up quickly.
iv. Active infection and antibody tests available. Active infection test is either nasal
mid turbinate swab or nasopharyngeal. They report having results within two
days. Rapid tests will be available soon.
v. All tests are done after a healthcare consultation with a Doctor, physician's
assistant or nurse. Drive thru tests are not available.

check in. Atlanta Urgent Care at Druid Hills provides Covid-19 testing

iv. Test results come in 3-6 business days
v. Cost is $100 without insurance
