CV - Caterina Francesca GUIDI
    Short description. Economist and expert in migration and public health: my research interests are mainly concentrated on the
impact of mobility and migration in Europe. I am currently working as Research Fellow at Department of Social, Political and
Cognitive Sciences at University of Siena (Italy) as a member of the Inequality Lab (Laboratorio delle Diseguaglianze). I am also
migration expert at the Migration Policies and International Protection Unit of Caritas Italiana. I am Senior Advisor on Migration
and Development for the Agency for Peacebuilding.
    For seven years I have worked at the Robert Schuman Centre for Advanced Studies (RSCAS) of the European University Institute
(EUI) as Research Fellow and Project Coordinator. I have also collected working experience with international organizations such
as EC and UNHCR, other research centres and NGOs on policy analysis in Belgium, Canada, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Italy,
Netherlands, Serbia and Spain. For three years I have coordinated a Reception Centre (CAS) for asylum seekers at EUI.
    I hold a Ph.D. in Economics by the University of Siena and I am an active contributor and a peer reviewer for several journals.
I have been invited as speakers and guest lecturer on challenges of migration in the EU and the organization of reception system
at different international conferences and Universities.
   PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCES
   June 2020-now, Post-doc Research Fellow, Department of Social, Political and Cognitive Sciences, University of Siena (IT)
   Applied research and data analysis for a research project on the interregional mobility of university students. Member of
the Inequality Lab (Laboratorio delle Diseguaglianze).

    Qualitative interviews to lawyers and judges, review of court files and legal reports related to asylum seekers applying in Italy
for humanitarian status for the CERC in Migration and Settlement research program.

Various missions on field delivering food and hygienic items to IDPs and returnees: drafting statistical analyses and reports on
their living conditions and access to welfare services. Analysing different legislative cases of migrants in collaboration with Vaša
