February 11th will be Pre-K’s 100th day of school!
Students are encouraged to dress as 100 year olds. Feel
free to get creative with it!
Here are some examples/ideas:
We will spend the day celebrating with various 100
themed activities, songs, and snacks.

The Young Men of Luling has partnered with Pizza Hut to raise funds for our club. Parents, students, and staff may
purchase their favorite dish and proceeds will go towards our young men receiving personal journals and chess boards with
pieces.
When ordering you can do one of the following options when it comes to helping YML receive credit:
1. You can place your order and send your receipt to Luling Elementary School the next day with a 20% attached.
2. You can place your order and when you pick up or receive your delivery you present the 20% profit ticket to the
cashier or delivery driver.

According to the St. Charles Parish Public School guidelines for fundraising, we can no longer send items home

Universal Screening Survey
Tiger Cubs Parents/Guardians,
Wellness and social-emotional health of our children play an important role in children’s ability
to succeed in school academically, socially, and emotionally. St. Charles Parish Public Schools
is committed to supporting, not only the academic education of your child, but also ensuring that
students reach their full potential outside of the classroom. We recognize that many of our
students have been impacted by the abrupt closure of school last spring as well as world events.
Additionally, the reopening of school pose additional possible stressors for students.
Children may not always be able to express their emotional needs, but would appreciate an adult
who they trust asking about their needs. The COVID-19 Trauma Universal Screening process
will serve as a “child-friendly” screening process. The purpose of the screening is to identify
children who may be experiencing trauma and connect them with responsive supports.
Your child will participate in this screening process that is designed to help identify risk factors
associated with trauma and social-emotional well-being. The screening is free, voluntary, and
confidential.
Screening Process:
1. Students will complete the screening on their Chromebooks.
2. Students who screen at “high need” will meet individually with a counselor.
3. Parents/Legal Guardians will be notified if the student has indicate a risk of harming
themselves or others.
Results of the screening will not be included in your child’s school records, nor will results be
shared with staff, other than the school’s screening team. Beyond the program described above,
further evaluation or ongoing treatment services are not provided through St. Charles Parish
Public Schools. It is up to the parent/legal guardian to decide to obtain any additional services
for your child.

Order Your Sweet Treat Candy Gram Today!!
The Young Men of Luling club is selling Candy Grams beginning February 1st through
February 10th. Parents, students, and staff may purchase a Candy Gram to send to both
students and staff at our school. This year, our Candy Gram will be a sweet treat that is nut free
with a special note attached.
You can return the order form to Mr. Logan in
Building H, room 101 before 4 p.m. Additional forms are available upon request!
On February 12th orders will be delivered. Let’s spread love and send your friends, loved
one(s) or favorite staff member a Candy Gram this year!!
