Coming Up (or Not)
**Monthly Club Meetings, Clubrooms
Under the current COVID-19 restrictions, there will be no
Club meetings for the next few months.
**Monthly Club Runs
The current situation for Club runs is that the G.V.M.V.D.C. is not endorsing Club runs due to the
Covid-19 situation until any further review of regulations allow them.
If Club members decide to travel with other members it is up to them to consider whether they are
complying with regulations.
At the appropriate time, the Committee will advise members of future group activities.
Veteran Car Club 1&2 Cylinder Rally, Cobram – 25th-28th March 2021
If it is possible, the Veteran Car Club will hold its first major rally for 2021 in and
around Cobram in March. It is just for pre-1919 vehicles with one or two cylinders, which
includes high-wheelers, steam vehicles, cycle-cars and motorcycles.
VDC “Aussie B40 Rally”, Phillip Island – 30th April-2nd May 2021
You may have heard of the B40 Rally that takes place in Europe each year. It is a rally for vehicles
built pre-1940 with drivers under 40 years of age. It’s a great way to get younger people interested in older

Historic Winton – 22nd-23rd May 2021
The tentative dates for next year’s historic race meeting have been updated by
the Austin 7 Club. They have been brought forward a week as a round of the V8
Supercars is to be held at Winton on the 29th-30th May.
Federation Golden Oldies Tour, north-central Victoria – 29th August-5th September 2021
The 2021 tour will start at Marong Picnic and cover 1100km (680 miles), taking
in Echuca/Moama, Deniliquin, Rushworth, Avenel, Seymour, Mitchelstown, Nagambie,
Heathcote, Kyneton, Castlemaine, Maldon, Dunolly, Wedderburn and Bendigo. Entry is
open to all vintage vehicles (1918 to 1930).
Due to COVID-19, it is not known what will be possible by that time. A decision
will be made on 2nd April but the Federation would like to know if you’re interested. The
Club has a copy of the Expression of Interest form so email gvmvdc@iinet.net.au and I’ll send you one.
Bendigo Swap Meet, Showgrounds – 13th-14th November 2021
The organising committee had to cancel this year’s event but plan to be back as big as ever in 2021,
with over 1700 sites. Details are available at www.bendigoswap.com.au . Outdoor sites are approximately 6m
x 6m and $60. Further site information from sales@bendigoswap.com.au .

**GVMVDC Annual Rally “Great Ocean Road” – 8th-20th March 2021
Depart Monday 8th - return Saturday 20th March (13 days, 12 nights). Meander through some of the best country
touring roads in Victoria, before reaching the “Great Ocean Road” where nature’s drama unfolds at every turn of the
wheel! Following the coastal route to Portland, we head inland travelling through the Western District Plains to Horsham
and home. Suitable for Vintage, early and late Classic vehicles. Rally distance: 1200km (approx)
Overnight accommodation at the following: Geelong. Skenes Creek. Warrnambool. Portland. Horsham.
1st payment: Sept $800 2nd payment: Nov. $1000
3rd payment: Feb 2021 $balance

Update: The Dry Run was completed during the last week of October; route mapped (1200km/800miles) over some of
the best touring and scenic country roads that South Western Victoria has to offer, including the coastal region from
Geelong to Portland.
Accommodation: Geelong: two nights. Skenes Creek: three nights (6km East of Apollo Bay). Warrnambool: three
nights. Portland: two nights. Horsham: two nights.
At each stop-over we aim to organise at least one paid attraction, leaving plenty of time to relax and enjoy what the local
area has to offer! May it be: sunning yourself on the beach (bring the bathers), coastal fishing, visit the local shops or
just lazing around with like-minded people over a coffee. Whatever you do, explore and enjoy!
**GVMVDC Central West Rally, Take 2 – 7th-21st April 2021
Departing Wednesday April 7th 2021, returning Wednesday April 21st 2021.
Our tour of the central West NSW will incorporate overnight stays in Junee, Bundanoon, Bathurst, Orange,
Gulgong, Parkes and Temora. Our planned route will take us through many magnificent touring roads perfect for your
Vintage or Classic car, plus of course, many interesting attractions for us to see and enjoy. We look forward to your
company. The rally is now fully booked, with a waiting list.
1st, 2nd and 3rd instalments due July, Sept and Nov. $900 ea
Final instalment due February. Amount TBA at a later date.

The 3 rostered ladies are requested to each bring 2 loaves of bread in sandwiches, SUPPER ROSTER
which will be reimbursed to about $20 each. The Club’s Catering Committee will provide APR Sue Agosta

milk and packets of sweet biscuits to supplement the sandwiches.
