RECOMMENDATION
LETTERS
Only request a recommendation letter if your college
requires one. Check on your college website or Naviance
Request letter at least 2 weeks before due date and be
specific about why you need it (admissions, scholarships)
You may make requests in Naviance.
Request letters from people who know you well
Colleges prefer letters from Teachers vs Counselors unless your
counselor knows you very well
Provide a Resume or Senior brag sheet along with the
request
