RULES AND REGULATIONS
GENERAL RULES :
➢ Participants are requested to bring their respective college ID
cards.
➢ The teams should register before the event starts. Both online and
on spot registrations can be done.Registration can also be done
by contacting the respective event incharges.
➢ The teams must be ready atleast half an hour before the
scheduled time.
➢ Damage to any property will be considered as a serious offense
and strict action will be taken.
➢ No inflammables are allowed on the stage.
➢ All music tracks for any dance or music event should be brought
in an USB device in MP3 format.The track should be submitted
to the registration desk 30 mins before the event.
➢ The participants should bring their own instruments for the
respective events . However, for the music events, a set of drums
will be provided.
➢ The cultural committee holds the rights to change time and venue
prior to the event.
➢ The judges decision will be final.DAY 1
ADZAP – MAD ADZ
● One team per college (Maximum:10 members per team)
● Time limit : 5 to 8 minutes
● Required materials and props can be brought by the participants
● Judging criteria : Presentation and acting, Marketing impact, Crowd attractiveness and overall
impact.
● Lots will be picked 20 min prior to the event.
VARIETY SHOW – NAVARASAM
● One team per college .(8 to 15 members per team)
● Time limit :15 minutes
● Required materials to be brought by the participants
● Music to be brought in Pen Drive
● Judging criteria : Concept, Acting, Variety of ideas,Originality, Overall Impact. Weightage will
be given to those acts delivering strong social messages
● Lots will be picked 20 min prior to the event
IPL QUIZ
Any number of teams per college
Two members in a team
Prelims will be held before the finalists are selected
Judges decision is final
ONLINE REGISTRATION : Rs.200 and ON SPOT REGISTRATION : Rs.250
CANDID PHOTOGRAPHY – SNAPSHOT
● Any numbers of participants from each college
● Photos should be taken within the college premises
● Only raw photos allowed
● 2 photos can be submitted each day and the results will be announced on the last dayRANGOLI – MADANA ● 2 teams per college ● 3 members per team ● Time - 60 to 90 minutes ● The rangoli must be presented in the allocated space ● Required materials to be brought by the participants ● Judging criteria - creativity , presentation , use of materials and overall impact. MEHENDI – DVIVRANTA ● 2 members per team ● Any number of participants from each college ● Time limit :1 hour ● Required materials to be brought by the participants ● Judging criteria - creativity , presentation , use of materials and overall impact. ● No mobile phones/resources JUST A MINUTE ● Any number of participants from each college ● Participants will be expected to speak for a minute ● Topic will be provided by the JAM master onspot ● Judging criteria: individuality, spontaneity, overall impact FACE PAINTING ● Open theme ● Any number of participants from each college ● 2 members per team ● Required materials to be brought by the participants ● Judging criteria : Presentation, uniqueness, social impact and audience appeal POT PAINTING ● Open theme ● One pot per team will be provided ● Any number of participants from each college ● 2 members per team ● Required materials to be brought by the participants
DAY 2 LIGHT MUSIC BAND – MELLISAI ● One team per college ( A minimum of 3 persons) ● Time limit : 15 minutes (including 5 minutes for set up) ● There is no restriction for languages ● Own compositions carry weightage ● Neither pre-recorded music nor synthesized beats are allowed ● Participants should bring their own instruments. However, a drum kit will be provided. ● Lots will be picked 20 minutes prior to the event WESTERN MUSIC BAND – METALLICA ● One team per college ( A minimum of 3 persons) ● Time limit : 15 minutes (including 5minutes for set up) ● Own compositions carry weightage ● Neither pre-recorded music nor synthesized beats are allowed ● Participants should bring their own instruments ● Lots will be picked 20 minutes prior to the event POEM WRITING –STANZA ● Any number of participants from each college ● Topics and Time limit : on the spot ● Only English and Tamil ● Judging criteria :Originality, Flow of thoughts, Mastery over language SOLO SINGING – AAROMALE ● Any number of participants from each college ● Time limit:3 minutes ● Any genre /language is allowed ● Use of Karaoke is permitted ● Karaoke to be brought in pen drive ● Maximum of one instrument can be used DUET SINGING – OPERA DUO ● Any number of participants from each college ● Time limit : 3 minutes ● Any genre/language is allowed ● Use of Karaoke is permitted ● Karaoke to be brought in pen drive ● In case of any discrepancies , decision of jury/judge will be considered final
SOLO INSTRUMENTAL – UNPLUGGED
● Any number of participants from each college
● Time limit: 5 minutes (including set up)
● Songs of any genre/language can be played
● Participants should bring their own instruments
● Drum kit will be provided
BEAT BOXING
● Any number of participants from each college
● Time limit : 3 minutes
● Judging criteria : Clarity,flow, execution, audience appeal,mic technique, tempo, varience
● Plagiarism will strictly not be tolerated and will lead to immediate disqualification\
BRUSHLESS PAINTING – SPLASH
● Any number of participants from each college
● Time limit : 1 hr
● Painting should be made without the use of any painting brushes
● No external help (eg.internet) is allowed during the event
● Participants should bring their own materials needed
● Judging criteria : creativity, materials used ,theme, uniqueness and overall impact
PAINT A SPOT – IMPASTO
● Any number of entries from each college
● Time limit : 1 hr
● An image will be depicted and participants are expected to replicate the same image in their
painting
● Materials and methods of painting are of the participants own choice
● No external help (eg.internet) is allowed during the event
● Participants should bring their own materials needed
● Judging criteria : creativity, materials used ,theme, overall impactDAY 3
INDIAN DANCE – THAANDAVAM
● One team per college.
● 6-20 members per team.
● Max time :17 mins( including set up: 5 minutes)
● Songs from any language
● Western moves are not allowed
● Music must be brought in pendrive.
● Use of props allowed.
● Lots will be picked 20 minutes prior to the event.
FASHION PARADE – FASHIONNOVA
● Max. 2 teams per college is allowed.
● 10 to 20 members per team
● Max time 15 min ( including setup and intro)
● Track to be brought in pen drive
● Theme selection is open to the team
● Any form of vulgarity or obscenity is strictly prohibited
● Teams will be judged based on costumes, theme, walking stance and attitude
● Vulgarity of any sort will lead to disqualification
● Lots will be picked 20 min prior to the event
SHORT FILM - ROLLING SIR!!!
● No particular theme.
● Duration is 5-20 mins
● Vulgarity of any sort shall lead to negative markings.
● Using scenes from short films released previously shall lead to disqualification.
● The actors must be college students only.
● Films of all languages must be accompanied with English subtitle.
● We strongly discourage low resolution cameras including web cameras and mobile phone
cameras.
● PLAGIARISM is strictly prohibited.
● The decision of judges will be final.
● Obscenity of any kind is not allowed and will lead to immediate disqualificationMARVEL QUIZ-
Questions will be framed only from marvel movies and not the marvel comics

enquirer
An induction stove will be given per team
Two teams per college – Maximum three members per team
Registrations should be made atleast one day before the event
Other than the anil products and stove, other materials and ingredients must be bought by the
participants
Judging criteria – Taste, presentation
ZERO HEAT COOKING:
● Any number of teams per college
● 3 members per team
● Max time is one hour
● No stove is allowed
● Participants should bring their materials for cooking
● Judgement criteria: No. of dishes, quality/nutritional value, Taste ,Presentation
VEGETABLE AND FRUIT CARVING
● 3 teams per college
● 3 members per team
● Max time : one hour
● Participants should bring their materials for carving
● Judgement criteria: Creativity ,presentation, use of materials , overall impact.SOAP CARVING: ● 3 teams per college ● 3 members per team ● No waxes or patterns allowed. ● Participants should bring their materials for carving ● Judgement criteria: Creativity ,neatness, overall impact. TRASH ART: ● Any no. of teams per college. ● 3 members per team. ● Max time: one hour ● No pre sets allowed. ● Judgement criteria: Utility space ,theme, materials variety,overall impact. DUMBCHARADES ● Maximum 3 teams per college ● 3 persons per team ● Judges decision will be final FOR AND AGAINST: ● Any number of participants from each college ● Topic will be given on spot. ● Judgement criteria: Potentiality , overall impact.
DAY -4 WESTERN DANCE – EIGHT COUNTS ● 1 team per college ● 6 to 20 members per team ● Max time 17 mins ( including 5 mins for set-up) ● Only western style of dance is allowed ● Music must be brought in pendrive ● No inflammables allowed on stage ● Lots will be picked 20 min prior to the event ADAPTUNES: ● Max 3 participants from each college is allowed ● Max time 3 to 5 min ● Genre of music will be repeatedly changed ● Properties are not allowed ● Judging criteria: adaptability, spontaneity, entertainment, stage utility, skills. SOLO DANCE – STEP IT UP! ● Max 3 participants from each college ● Max time 3 min ● Any style of dance is allowed ● Music must be brought in pen drive ● Use of properties is allowed ● Costume should be appropriate for the general audience ● Indecent exposure or vulgarity will lead to disqualification DUET DANCE – TWIST N TURN ● Max 3 teams per college ● Max time 3 min ● Any style of dance is allowed ● Music must be brought in pen drive ● Use of properties is allowed ● Lots will be picked 20 min prior to the event
NAIL ART: ● Max 2 teams per college ● 2 members per team ● Max time 1 hour ● Required materials to be brought by the participants ● Judging criteria : theme and design, color scheme, neatness and presentation MAKEUP and HAIR DRESSING: ● Max 2 teams per college ● 3 members per team ● Max time 1 hour ● Required materials to be brought by the participants ● Judging criteria : makeup, hair designing, creativity, overall presentation DO IT YOURSELF – DIY ● Theme –HOME DECORS,SCHOOL SUPPLIES,PHONE CASES ● Any number of entries from each college. ● Max time -1 hr ● No pre sets allowed. ● Judging criteria:creativity,theme,materials variety,overall impact.
