Conditions
It is the obligation of the Rider or Persons Responsible to read and understand the conditions for this event.

Official Start Time
The official event start time is 1.00 pm Wednesday 18th April 2018. This is the start time for the period of jurisdiction
for all FEI General, Dressage & Dressage Regulations. Equestrian Sport New Zealand (ESNZ) General Regulations,
Veterinary Regulations and ESNZ Dressage rules. All horses on the grounds after the official start time of the event
must be entered at the event and are subject to Rider Event Levy and Stabling & Camping fees. Please note FEI rules
do not allow the use of prohibited gear from time of arrival on the grounds.

Competition Draw
The Grand Prix draw will be available at www.equestrianentries.co.nz one hour after the official draw which is at
9.30 am Thursday 19th April 2018.
The OC reserves the right to alter the program to ensure the smooth running of the event.
It is the rider’s responsibility to check any new times posted.

Rider Briefing
The Event Manager will be available for enquiries at completion of the Horse Inspection.

Eligibility
     1. Horses must be ESNZ registered and be 148cm or over.
     2. A dressage annual start is required to enter.
     3. Riders must be an ESNZ full competitive or life member.
     4. ESNZ Horse/Pony/Rider Registration must be current until 22nd April 2018 or entries will not be accepted.
     1. All riders require FEI rider registration
     2. All horses require 2018 FEI horse registration and Passports.

Conditions
    1. Combinations must achieve 60% in the Grand Prix test to compete in the Grand Prix Musical Freestyle class.
    2. All competitors must pay $30.00 FEI EADCMP fee per horse.
    3. Horse and ID Inspection 9.00 am Thursday 19th April 2018 Indoor School. All horses must be presented for
        inspection. A starting order will be posted.
    4. All FEI horses must be stabled on the grounds and pay the $225.00 stabling Fee.
    5. Please check FEI website for updated FEI Tests prior to event. www.fei.org.
    6. All Classes are run under FEI rules.
    7. FEI Schedule available from www.nzequestrian.org.nz.
    8. The OC reserves the right to alter any event condition within the FEI Dressage rules.
    9. ESNZ identification numbers must be worn at all times, including warm-up.
    10. All horses must have an identification tag on them at all times with rider details and mobile phone number.
    11. Stallions must comply with ESNZ Article 133 and must remain in a stable at all times when not being ridden.
    12. Protests must be lodged with the secretary as per FEI rules

Presentation of Prizes:
    1. There will be no prize money awarded at the event.
    2. Rosettes will be awarded in all classes 1st to 6th
    3. There will be a mounted presentation for all classes

The Event Reception is situated next to the Charisma Hall, riders please address all queries to this area.

Competition Arena Use & Familarisation
The competition arena is closed at all times except as stated below

Designated warm up arena is open during hours of daylight.

Music Testing
Music Testing will be from 7.30 am Sunday 22nd April 2018, competitors must advise at time of entry if music testing
is required or no time will be allocated.

Horse Inspection
Thursday 19th April 2018 9.00am, Indoor School.

Venue Rules
   1. Competitors and spectators attending this event do so at their own risk
   2. No smoking in any buildings or in yard/stable areas
   3. Neither the National Equestrian Centre, ESNZ or Dressage NZ, or nor any representative of these bodies,
       accepts any liability for any loss, damage, injury or illness to horse, pony, rider, spectators, land, vehicles or
       any personal property whether caused by their negligence or breach of contract in any way.
   4. The National Equestrian Centre, ESNZ or Dressage NZ shall not be liable for the safety of any
       goods/equipment or the loss of, or damage to such goods and equipment, brought in/stored at the venue,
       during the period of use.
   5. Any damage to the National Equestrian Centre facilities to be reported immediately to the Event Office.
   6. Tagged safety helmets must be worn at all times when schooling and competing.
   7. All horses on the grounds must be entered at the event unless prior arrangement has been made with the
       Organising Committee.

Dogs
   1.   Dogs must be kept in the truck park at all times
   2.   No dogs are allowed in any stable or yarding areas, warm up, competition areas or buildings
   3.   Dogs may be exercised on the cross country course only
   4.   Failure to adhere to these rulings will result in a complete dog ban for 2019
   5.   The dog must be on a lead at all times
   6.   The owner of the dog will be responsible for the cost of any damage/harm caused by the dog at the
        competition.

Vehicles & Motorbikes
   1. Speed limit for all vehicles 15 kph.
   2. Motorbikes may not be used after 8.30 pm and must be used in accordance with normal road rules. Any
        competitor contravening these rules will be fined and immediately eliminated from any further participation
        in the show. Helmets must be worn.
   3. Joy riding on any part of the grounds at any time will not be tolerated. Junior drivers (under 16yrs) must only
        use motorbikes under parental supervision.

Horse Identification, Yards & Accommodation
   1. Registered horse/pony identification numbers must be worn at all times when competing.
   2. During non-competition times ID tags to include the person responsible name and phone number.
   3. Please keep wash down bays clean at all times.
   4. Moving horses to unallocated yards/paddocks is prohibited.
   5. Please use the skips provided for horse waste not rubbish, bins are provided for rubbish.
   6. Temporary yards are not permitted.
   7. All yards/stables are to be left properly mucked out. Muck skips will be located near the yards.

Camp Sites
   1. Parking and camping areas may be defined.
   2. Powered sites available.
   3. Any persons found plugging their truck/float/camper into power sockets in the ablution block or other illegal
       connection will be asked to leave the venue
   4. Please be tidy and use bins for all rubbish
   5. Waste water (grey water tanks) must not be dumped on the venue.

Entries & Entry Fees
Entry Fee - $450 per horse to include three classes
FEI EADCMP Fee - $30.00 per horse
Entries close on: Friday 30th March 2018.
Enter online at: www.equestrian entries .co.nz - Only online entries will be accepted.
Please state horse’s date of birth on online entry.

Additional fees for all Competitors
Rider Event Levy $40 per rider - Non Refundable.
FEI EADCMP Fee - $30.00 per horse
Medical Fee - $25.00 per rider.

Horse Accommodation Fees
Premium stables $225.00 per horse for the event – Non refundable
Arrive 1.00pm Wednesday 18th April, depart 4.00 pm Sunday 22nd April 2018 only.
Premium stables will not be available outside these times.

Camping Fees
Camping power - $10.00 per night per truck/float
Without power - $5.00 per night per peson
Please state arrival and departure days at time of entry.

Competitors arriving earlier or departing later must state arrival/and departure days at time of entry and will be
subject to NEC yard and camping fees payable in the honesty box.

Payment must be made prior to close of entries Friday 30th March 2018

Official Withdrawal Form
         Close date for all refund applications – 6th May 2018
         There will be no refund unless this Official Withdrawal Form is completed & sent to
         S Bright. PO Box 143, Paraparaumu, or emailed to bright.sara@xtra.co.nz
         $265 Stable fee and Rider Event Levy is non-refundable.
         Camping & Medical fees will be 100% refunded.
         Other refunds will be paid as follows

Notification of withdrawal received before 5pm 16th April 2018
Refunds: Less $50 per horse. A vet or doctors certificate must be provided, or reason for with-drawl must accepted
by the ground jury.
