The Rotorua Energy Events Centre is a versatile, multi-purpose
complex, located on the edge of Lake Rotorua in the picturesque
Government Gardens. The centre incorporates ten separate spaces

Eat Streat

Overview Rotorua’s Eat Streat has become New Zealand’s place to go for alfresco-style all-
weather dining.

Here visitors will enjoy quality restaurants, cafés, bars and the famous Lady Jane’s Ice
Cream Parlour. Whether they are after authentic kiwi cuisine, Middle Eastern meals,
Italian, Indian, Thai or something else entirely, there is a good chance they will find their
perfect meal on Eat Streat.

Eat Street includes a covered central walkway with retractable roofing over dining areas
on both sides. By providing a central walkway spine, the restaurants are able to extend
their outdoor dining area to provide a welcoming dining experience.

A unique feature is geothermal heating underlay which, along with enhanced lighting,
enables the area to remain warm and inviting even during cold or wet winter days. Visitors
are often seen sitting on Eat Streat’s pathways in winter soaking up the geothermal
warmth.
