3rd eResearch Domain Symposium - Computational Sciences for the 21st Century
20th June (9:00 – 18:00), B40 LT Darwin Building

This symposium brings together UCL’s community who use computational science in their research and is open to researchers
from all faculties. The aspiration to address more complex problems, combining different methodologies, new computational
architectures, and changing research policy and funding landscape will influence how computational science will develop in the
21st Century.
Call for Abstracts! Posters and Model Showcase talks: Do you use computational sciences in your research? If so, we would
like to invite you to submit an abstract for poster presentation and short talk in the ‘eResearch Domain Symposium: Computational
Sciences in the 21st Century’ on 20 June.
The poster and short talks (5 minutes) will form a ‘Computational Model Showcase’. Please submit your 500-word abstract online
explaining your research, which has involved computational science approaches, and either how you have overcome a particular
challenge or your views on how computational sciences will develop in the 21st Century. We particularly welcome submissions
from Early Career Researchers and PhD students from all UCL faculties. Your abstract, poster or talk should be accessible for
those who are not subject matter experts.
The deadline for submissions is 10am, 17 May 2019. Abstracts will only be considered if the presenter is registered to attend this
symposium.
