Sagra Musicale Malatestiana - 69th Malatesta Music Festival: Chamber music concerts
2018 is the year of the 150th Gioachino Rossini's death anniversary. Rossini is one of the most important opera
composers in history. The Barbiere Smart project, by Noris Borgogelli who wrote the texts and orchestral
reductions for string quintet with oboe, is an agile and captivating version with a large extract of Rossini's
masterpiece. Along with the quintet, the presence of the three main singers of the opera is expected. The concert
was conceived by the G. Rossini Symphony Orchestra, in collaboration with the Municipality of Pesaro.

Amarcort Film Festival 2018

Rimini International Short Film Festival
The Festival is a space dedicated to young directors and independent productions to tell stories, people and
emotions.
The eleventh year of "Amarcort" has officially started with "The Tour of the World in 80 Courts, edition 2018", the
traveling event that transports the public for 10 monthly dates, with the finale in December.
For the 2018 edition of the Festival 150 short films will be presented in competition, together with workshops,
meetings and many events. The competition is divided into seven sections with names recalling "Fellini's
memories": Amarcort, Gradisca, Rex, Fulgor, Aldina, Gironzalon and the recent Cantarel, dedicated to music
videos. Since 2014 a new section has been added, with the contest for unpublished screenplays called 'Grand
Hotel'.
A highly qualitative Jury is made up of experts in the film and photographic sector and is responsible for choosing
the winners among the finalist works. The selection of the finalists is made by an artistic committee inside the
festival.
From 14 to 17 November at the Duomo Hotel takes place Amarcort Film Festival Short Movie Industry: with
meetings, debates and projections for professionals in the sector.
On Sunday 18 at 9pm at the Teatro degli Atti, awards ceremony and screening of the winners of all
categories, followed by a Closing Party.

of the deceased's property within 5 days of his death. So, on 13th October 1468, Isotta accompanied the notary in
a survey of her husband's last home: Castel Sismondo. The "Isotta's inventory" is a precious and unique proof
about the Malatesta court told through the things belonged to Sigismondo.

neck.
Vaguely anthropomorphic, vertical presence on horizontal surfaces, the bottle has been able to fascinate great

Double painting exhibition by Enrico Lombardi at the City Museum
The world represented by Monica Spada is clear and patiently painted; nevertheless it doesn't lose its magic,
evocation and enigma. Her painting is like a resurrection, a dawn that does not know the night from which it rises
in order to exist in its new purity.
The most recent work by Raffaella Vaccari can be completely inscribed in the archaeological universe. In fact,
her untranslatable golden signs seem to emerge by a patient digging work that has dissected them from the
bowels of the earth.
The painter Enrico Lombardi, curator of the exhibition, presents the conversation of two different poetic worlds
that communicate with each other in the tension created by the relationship between these differences.

Couple at the theater and in real life, the ballet étoile Svetlana Zakharova and the violin virtuoso Vadim Repin are
together on stage in an exciting show where choreographic pieces of the classical repertoire and music pages by
Mendelssohn, Paganini, Ravel, Part and many others will offer an original and exciting space for the meeting of
the two stars. “Pas de Deux for Toes and Fingers” is the goal of a long artistic research, entrusted to the
musicians of the Luigi Cherubini Youth Orchestra and to the étoiles and dancers of the Bolshoi Theater of
Moscow and the Mariinsky Theater of Saint Petersburg.

Symphonic concerts by great orchestras and original projects
It is the oldest and most prestigious event in the Rimini area. In its more than 60 editions it has hosted the
greatest musicians in the world including Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli, Riccardo Chailly, Mstislav Rostropovich,
Giuseppe Sinopoli, Renata Tebaldi, Vladimir Ashkenazy, Zubin Metha, Georges Pretre, Lorin Maazel, Kurt Masur,
Valery Gergiev, Neville Marriner, James Conlon, Myung-Whun Chung.
In 2018 the program of the Symphonic Concerts of the Sagra is included among the great inaugural events of
the new Galli Theater which include:

Live from the Teatro alla Scala in Milan - the opening night
“Attila” is a work by Giuseppe Verdi, a libretto by Temistocle Solera based on the tragedy “Attila, König der
Hunnen” by Zacharias Werner.
Francesco Maria Piave made some changes to the libretto at the request of Verdi.
The show is broadcasted live from the Teatro alla Scala in Milan. Riccard Chailly will perform Attila by inserting in
the first act, between duet and trio, five bars composed by Rossini when he directed the opera in Paris in 1865, in
private form.

The Municipality of Rimini and its Film Library (Cineteca) have organized a rich program of events to
commemorate and celebrate Federico Fellini, starting from October 4th.
25 years after the death of the great director, a long journey will begin, full of events, until 2020, the centenary of
the director's birth, that the city of Rimini will celebrate with the inauguration of Fellini Museum.
The first part of the review "The movies that I wrote", 15 films (projected in 35 mm), will start on October 4th, at

Many new productions on the billboard this year. It starts with a prologue to the season that sees the return on
stage, in the frame of Castel Sismondo, of the play “Malatesta”, a travelling show produced by the Municipality of
Rimini on occasion of Malatesta celebrations; conceived, interpreted and directed by Gianluca Reggiani. Based
on the play “Malatesta” by Henry de Montherlant, which was performed by Arnoldo Foà in 1969, the performance
recorded a continuous sold out throughout the last spring and it will be performed from 4th October, every week
end of the month, four times a week.
The composition of the billboard is divided into sections and paths that can be crossed in complete freedom, each
with its own identity. A multifaceted path, to be carried out by entering into different disciplines and
genres, between popular narration and research as in the tradition of theater. Three subscription sections: shows
for the ABC rounds, shows also for the single round named D-other routes, while the path dedicated to the
contemporary, which will remain staged at Teatro degli Atti, offers proposals of experimental drama, closer to
research- Tracce D Contemporaneo.
For the opening of the season Toni and Peppe Servillo will be on stage on Tuesday 30th October with "La parola
canta", show-concert included in round D - other routes.
