Christmas and New Year's special tours
Rimini reveals an ancient heart with its historic center full of archaeological and artistic remains.
A route that will touch the monuments and the ancient Ariminum sites starting with the Arch of Augustus,
stretching towards the center of the ancient Roman Forum and reaching the bimillenial Tiberius Bridge.
The visit will continue with one of the most important archaeological discoveries of recent years: the Domus del
Chirurgo, with its magnificent set of surgical instruments that includes as many as 150 tools of the imperial
Roman medicine preserved in the Museum of the city where the visit will end with the archaeological rooms that
tell the republican origins of Rimini.

Guided tour to discover the wonders of the Rimini Renaissance
A route to discover some of the most significant examples of architecture and art of the Renaissance.
The Malatesta Temple designed by Leon Battista Alberti, with the sepulchres of Sigismondo Malatesta Lord of
Rimini and his wife Isotta degli Atti.
The temple preserves a fresco by Piero della Francesca and an amazing crucifix by Giotto.
The visit continues inside the City Museum where you can admire the Renaissance rooms, with the great medals
showing the profiles of Sigismondo and Isotta.
At the end, the tour will lead the guests to the Castel Sismondo, residence and fortress of the Lord of Rimini,
designed by Sigismondo himself with the help of Filippo Brunelleschi.

New Year’s Eve in the historic center with the Planet Funk

The longest New Year’s Eve in the world - The Concert in Piazza Malatesta
Between the ramparts of Castel Sismondo and the reborn walls of the Galli Theater, Piazza Malatesta hosts the
concert that will animate New Year's Eve in the historic center of Rimini
Matteo Mussoni, a young D.J. from Rimini, will fire up the square from 10.30pm to midnight. Then DAN: ROS
will take possession of the console and make the square dance.
It will then be the turn of one of the most famous Italian groups in the world. Their electronic rock is permanently
on every radio in the world, their successes always ready to be danced: the PLANET FUNK. The band will
present an electronic version of the new album and the their hits of the last 15 years, in collaboration with some of
the greatest producers of the international scene who remixed the band's most famous songs. The historical
founder of the band Alex Neri in the role of DVO (director virtual orchestra), Marco Baroni at the synths &
keyboards and the original voice of the band, Dan Black.
The party will continue until the morning with two big names in electronic music:
Daniele Baldelli is one of the first Italian deejays, who has forged a new music and created genres like afro
-cosmic.
Richy Montanari returns to his hometown, there is no club in the world that does not play his music and not
recognize him as one of the most valid DJs on the electronic scene.

From 10.15pm in the 'Sala del Giudizio' of the Museum the group 'Art Trio' will perform accompanied for the
occasion by the soprano Giorgia Paci. The program ranges from the most famous arias such as 'Lascia ch'io
pianga' by Haendel, 'Oh Mio babbino caro', 'Quando men vo'' by Puccini,'Una voce poco fa' by Rossini, to 'Por
una Cabeza' by Gardel, 'Summer Time' by Gerswin and 'Libertango' by Piazzolla.At the end, New Year's Eve
toast.
The site of the Domus del Chirurgo, in Piazza Ferrari, hosts Miami and the Groovers, one of the most
appreciated independent Italian bands.The concert, starting at from 10.45 pm, is a journey to the roots of folk
music, dixieland, blues, country, rock, American soul, through the songs of Bruce Springsteen, Tom Waits, Bob
Dylan, Bob Marley, Neil Young, Lou Reed, Van Morrison, a story that tells and combines the dusty roads of Jack
Kerouac, John Steinbeck, John Fante, and the visions of Allan Ginsberg.
On the New Year's EveThe Museum and Domus will be open with free entrance from 9pm to 02am. During the
evening laboratories for children are organized.

Electronic music and sounds at the Corte degli Agostiniani
Electronic sounds meet the warmth of Latin music.
One of the most evocative spaces of the historic center of Rimini, the Complesso degli Agostiniani, hosts a
double musical event that will mix together, in the name of dance and music, the Latin rhythms with the rock /
electronic sounds.
At the Teatro degli Atti dj set by the Grancaribe Rimini with Rafael Nuñez and Claudio Ceccoli, for an evening
of musical entertainment and shows.
In the Sala Pamphili, the rock / electronic sounds with guest DJ Cirillo, an icon of techno music in the world, and
Dimmish, DJ and Italian producer among the most appreciated in the underground and minimal house scene.
Games of color and animations synchronized with the music will create a unique atmosphere, combined with the
'Mutoid' robotic experience.

The longest New Year’s Eve in the world with the Reunion of the historical disco clubs; a DJ set with Roberta
Lanfranchi and Cludio Guerrini by RDS 100%
An open-air club, where the historic discos like Paradiso, Velvet, Slego, Baia degli Angeli, Cellophane and
Barcelona, ??with their historical deejays will create a special evening in the atmosphere of the 80s and 90s, the
atmosphere that made the history of Rimini's music and clubs.
In Piazza Cavour, the start is at 10 pm with Ayron Dj and Sammy from Music Academy Rimini, to continue with
Paolo-Nhe del Ghetto46, historical DJ of Paradise and creator of the event.
At midnight Roberta Lanfranchi and Claudio Guerrini will make the toast to see in the new year, then some of the
best DJs of the 90s who have linked their career to Paradise as Gianni Morri, Max Padovani and Duke Dj.
Exceptional vocalist for the evening: Mad Bob.
At 10 pm the party also starts in Piazza Francesca da Rimini, with the Rock marked Slego by Dj Gianma, followed
by Full Nelson, historical ace of the Velvet school.

Photographic exhibition of the Rimini sea, by proud Rimini divers
The Seafaring and Shells Museum, 'E'Scaion', was established in 1999 by a group of citizens for the recovery of
the history and traditions of the maritime culture. 'E'Scaion' takes its name from the iron tool for fishing clams and
the museum stores documents, artefacts and small fishing equipment.
To the fishing objects are added wooden constructions that represent the monuments and historical buildings of
Rimini, and objects created with grass 'pagnastrella', a herbaceous plant typical of the Mediterranean area.
On display there is also the Capici Collection, the most important collection of shells in the Mediterranean and a
sector is dedicated to the fossils donated by Ivilia Rosa from Turin.
During the festivities there is a photographic exhibition of the Rimini sea, by proud Rimini divers.

The longest New Year’s Eve in the world - The show of lights
The party starts in Rimini from November 30th, when a starred roof supported by large balloons with lights, will
brighten up Piazza Cavour, transporting Fellini's film imagery and retracing the atmospheres of those
unforgettable films through his famous sentences. On November 30th, ‘A sea of ??fire’ lands in Piazza Cavour
with three different performances of fire-eaters, fakirs, acrobats and enchanters up to the performance of the choir
at 6.00pm, which will lead to the lighting of the Christmas illumination. This year the city between Piazza Cavour,
Piazza Malatesta and Castel Sismondo, will be dedicated to ‘La Dolce Vita’. A fitting which, from November 30th
to January 20th, will include exclusive sets, on a red tree-lined carpet. An ice skating rink in a circus of lights will
be the protagonist in Piazza Malatesta next to the Galli Theater, the Circ'amarcord market, curated by Cna,
brings in via Poletti the artistic craftsmanship in the Liberty style houses and the House of Santa Claus where
children can leave letters and do workshops. And then the French carousel of horses with images of La Dolce
Vita. Not only the historic center will be illuminated by Fellini's dreams and symbols. Also Borgo San Giuliano,
the place so loved by the Maestro, on November 30th (from 4.30 pm) will pay homage to the Fellini's films with a
torchlight procession accompanied by the most famous masks of the director's films which will join the
celebrations in Piazza Cavour.

Christmas season with scallops, symbol of the Christians, decorated with good wishes phrases in over 60

On the bridge there is a luminous nativity scene with the Holy Family between the Angels and the stylized figures
of the Magi, made by Salvatore Federici. Here you can also admire the Nativity in polychrome wood by the
"Friends of the Sea".
The highlight of the initiative is Monday 6 January, from 4.00 pm, with the Sacred Representation of the Nativity in
a naval procession with the Magi, who, on board boats, bring gifts to the boat of the Baby Jesus. The event,
accompanied by Christmas carols performed by the Polyphonic Choir Cappella Musicale Malatestiana and
luminous fountains, is made by the Ponte dei Miracoli Association in collaboration with the Rimini Marine
Association.
In conclusion, the Parish of San Giuseppe al Porto offers mulled wine and donut.

An exhibition dedicated to the Gambalunga library's vast bibliographic and iconographic collection, to mark the
400th anniversary of its foundation.
A journey through time, from the remote Middle Ages to the present, told through rare and precious manuscripts,
globes, books, photographs and films.
Housed between the Galleria dell'Immagine and the splendid ancient rooms of the Gambalunga Library, the
exhibition is a real opportunity to visit and admire their precious furnishings and important bibliographic
collections. Three of the rooms were set up in the first half of the seventeenth century by the librarian Moretti with
severe shelves of walnut while the last room, in Venetian style, was decorated by the painter Giovan Battista
Costa in the eighteenth century.

The Cinema Tiberio proposes, in an original English version with Italian subtitles, a cycle dedicated to the great
theater of London: the great musicals, prose and contemporary dance.
Tuesday, February 4th is the turn of the prose with 'Small Island', based on the novel by Andrea Levy, winner of
the Orange Prize for Fiction.
A journey from Jamaica to Great Britain, from the Second World War to 1948.
The show describes three stories of hope and humanity that are connected by the ties that exist between Jamaica
and the United Kingdom.

Second edition
The second edition of the festival 'E 'BAL - stages in Romagna for contemporary dance', is promoted by ATER -
Multidisciplinary Regional Circuit and is realized by a network of live show operators of the territory, with the
support of the Emilia-Romagna Region.
Born to give space to the vital scene of Italian contemporary dance, E ’bal (in the Romagna dialect the ball),
takes place from 1 November 2019 to 14 June 2020 in 8 Municipalities, including the Republic of San Marino.
The shows that take place in Rimini are: Sweet like a chocolate (19 March at 9 pm, at the Teatro degli Atti),
ILINX - don't stop the dance (5 April at 9 pm at the Teatro degli Atti), Energheia (8 April at 9pm at the Teatro
degli Atti).
Also in Rimini, in the Judgment Room of the City Museum, the first of the 5 meetings takes place 'DANCE 2.0 -
Words and images on the dance between history, power and technology: Modern and contemporary dance
between continuity and breaks', held by the expert Alessandro Pontremoli, (5 March at 5 pm, free admission).

The European Day of the Righteous is a celebration established in 2012 by the European Parliament to
commemorate those who have stood up against crimes against humanity and totalitarism with their own moral
responsibility.
By this celebration the concept of Righteous as worked out by Yad Vashem is broadened to all genocide cases
and forms of totalitarianism thanks to the commitment of Moshe Bejski.
The European day of the Righteous is celebrated every year on 6 March, the anniversary of Moshe Bejski’s
