Every year Julie finds the Christmas presents her parents hid: in the basement,
under the bed, in the garage. But this year it’s Christmas Eve and she has found
nothing. NOTHING! She’s worried — will be there no presents at all?

Or will she find them in the most unexpected of places?

Inspired by Robert Munsch’s own daughter’s efforts to find her gifts every year, this
bestselling tale bursts with holiday warmth and all of the zaniness you can expect
                                                    from a Munsch story.

Tell Me a Story: Finding Christmas includes a paperback edition of the story along
with a CD read by Robert Munsch himself.

             PRAISE FOR FINDING CHRISTMAS:

“This year Julie searches everywhere, but the presents are nowhere to be found.
She finally looks on the roof, with hilarious results . . . colourful and, as always,
             humorous.” —Winnipeg Free Press
“[Finding Christmas] will be welcomed by fans of Canada’s popular and prolific

When the family arrives at their brand-new home, and the kids are unpacked — well,
let’s just say that they are ready to take care of Danielle, too!

This story was inspired by a family that Robert Munsch once stayed with in
Montreal, Quebec — which had five children and had moved to a new house only
days before! This funny tale is for all kids, especially those who have dealt with the
stress of a big move. And even more especially for those who have dreamt about
turning the tables on an older sibling’s pranks.

MARY SHAW knows a thing or two about hockey — her husband is former professional hockey
player, now turned coach, Brad Shaw. Mary and her family have lived in Waterloo, Italy, Hartford,
Ottawa, Detroit, Cincinnati, Tampa and St. Louis. They call Kanata, Ontario home.
CHUCK TEMPLE began his career at the age of 18 when his first comic strip, Bernie on the Beat,
went into syndication. He studied at both the University of Guelph and the Ontario College of
Art, and cites Bill Watterson, creator of Calvin and Hobbes, as his favourite cartoonist. He is the
illustrator of the bestselling Brady Brady series, and also enjoys coaching and playing hockey. He

                                By Wallace Edwards

Sometimes you find friendship where you least expect it!
Ernest is flying his kite when it gets stuck in a tree. At the same moment, there’s
a flash in the sky, followed by a loud crash! He sets out on a difficult journey up a
mountain to find out what happened.

When he discovers a strange being has landed at the top,
Ernest hides in fear. But he soon realizes that this
creature needs his help.

As they find ways to understand each other, it becomes
clear that solving their problems together means they are
no longer strangers — they are friends!

Told in spare text and perfectly paced art in panels and full pages, this visually
rich story brings through themes that are both timely and timeless — to
challenge first impressions, to find strength in differences, and to understand
important needs we all share.

Fox and Squirrel both have something to offer when they need
to care for a little one.
When a baby bat drops from the sky, Fox is immediately taken with the soft, sweet
creature and rushes to take care of it. Squirrel is less sure this is a welcome intrusion.
The new squeaky stranger can’t keep up with all their favourite activities and doesn’t
seem to realize how fun Squirrel can be. Can Fox and Squirrel come together to
figure out what Squeak needs?

In this new installment in the Fox and Squirrel series, award-winning author Ruth
Ohi delivers a heartwarming tale with an affirming message for anyone who has felt
frustrated accommodating someone with different needs, and a lovely reminder
about the good feeling that comes with helping out.

                    Don’t Call Me Bear!
                                       By Aaron Blabey

Warren the Koala is many things — but the one thing
he is NOT is a bear!
Hello my name is Warren, and I’ve got something to share . . . Just because I’m furry
doesn’t mean that I’m a bear.

In this hilarious new book from Aaron Blabey, author of Thelma the Unicorn
and The Bad Guys series, a koala captures the universal
frustration of how it can feel to be misunderstood.

Warren offers up compelling arguments for
why he is NOT a bear. With visual aids and an
agitated tone, he does his best to explain the
error in some careless explorer’s judgment
years ago and how that shouldn’t affect the
truth of the matter: koalas are NOT bears!

Much to the chagrin of this marsupial, public
opinion does not appear to have been swayed.

All Bear wants is to hibernate in his cozy cave, but sneaky Fox has his
                        own plans for the space!
“A great big bear like you,” said Fox, “so big and strong and brave, a creature so
magnificent . . . deserves a bigger cave.”
A very sneaky Fox and a very sleepy Bear set off to explore other places for Bear to
call home. The train tunnel is too loud, even if the double doors are nice. The hollow
tree’s high ceilings are great, but the bats are not. The oceanfront option has great
views — great, but damp.

Bird is hiking with his friends when his tummy rumbles. But no one packed him a

When Willa’s upside-down magic rains, it pours. Clouds form under ceilings.
Classrooms get flooded. Umbrellas must always be nearby, just in case Willa has
                                             an outburst.

Willa hates being the source of such sogginess. Even worse, the more she rains, the
badder she feels . . . and the badder she feels, the more she rains.

                                       By Carol Matas

Carol Matas’s award-winning novel, reissued for its 25th anniversary!
Daniel barely remembers leading a normal life before the Nazis came to power
in 1933. He can still picture once being happy and safe, but memories of those
days are fading as he and his family face the dangers threatening Jews in Hitler’s
Germany in the late 1930’s. No longer able to practice their religion, vote, own
property, or even work, Daniel’s family is forced from their home in Frankfurt and
sent on a long and dangerous journey, first to the Lodz ghetto in Poland, and then
to Auschwitz, the Nazi death camp.

Though many around him lose hope in the face of such terror, Daniel, supported by
his courageous family, struggles for survival. He finds hope, life and even love in the
midst of despair.

This edition includes a chronology, a timeline, and a brand-new message
from the author.
