WELCOME TO TEAM HIDI 7!
Giving Kitchen has served over 1,300 grants to food
service workers in crisis since Team Hidi 1.
Behind every person served is a hero: the coworker who
recommended Giving Kitchen, the donor who funded a
light bill, the volunteer who gave their time.
As you look around the room tonight, you’ll see aprons
that represent each food service worker served by
Giving Kitchen, and you’ll see the heroes who came to
their aid.
You’ll also see a green apron hanging that belongs to
our hero, Ryan Hidinger. Apron number one. Behind that
apron are all the people who rallied to his side as we
began the fight for his life. Welcome to the fight -
this time, not for one life - but for thousands.
Welcome to Team Hidi - not the event, but the greatest
team of heroes ever assembled. Tonight you will
support the servers, the dishwashers, the line cooks,
the hosts at your favorite restaurants - to give back
to the people who willingly and tirelessly provide for
us every single day.
Through our Crisis Grants and our Stability Network
programs, Giving Kitchen is building a food service
community where crisis is met with compassion and
care, and anyone can be a hero.

At Team Hidi’s country cousin, we’ll welcome you for a
fantastic evening to take in the best of fall. Gather in
the pavilion at Serenbe - think a perfect autumn afternoon,
twinkly lights, live music and tastes from all Fifth Group
Restaurants’ concepts. We’ll light the bon fire and have
s’mores, and drinks will flow to keep you tapping your
toes! It’ll be like a picnic on steroids... just ask anyone
who was there last year - it was a damn delicious way to
spend an autumn Sunday!
Transportation will be provided to and from Serenbe via bus
departing from SweetWater Brewing Company.

Items listed as date-specific have already been scheduled,
and it should not be that assumed dates can be changed.

cousin Hazel is not getting married the day you’re supposed
to leave for an adventure on Ossabaw Island! Also, most
restaurant-related items are not redeemable in the month
of December. GK will assume responsibility for gratuity
on restaurant experiences unless otherwise noted. Should
your experience warrant it, winners are encouraged to show
additional appreciation to their service team.
Kristie Azaroff, GK’s Development Manager, or a GK staffer
will personally correspond with all winners to begin the
process of fulfilment in early March 2019.

A GK OSSABAW ISLAND ADVENTURE
APRIL 26-28, 2019
Imagine a pristine barrier island for you and 15 friends
accompanied by a talented team of naturalists, chefs, mixologists
and musicians. Welcome to GK’s weekend on Ossabaw!
Located just south of Savannah, Ossabaw Island is beautiful beyond
description and only available to visit by invitation. Take in
picture-perfect sunrises, explore historic ruins, sit a spell on
rocking-chair front porches with marsh views for miles. And your
island guide: Georgia’s greatest living naturalist and former GBP-
TV host, Cathy Sakas.

Start your day with a from-scratch breakfast. Lunch will be

oysters, grilled bites and cocktails prepared by Bryan

Friday: Indulge in a family-style dinner from Mike & Shyretha
Sheats of The Plate Sale, a pop-up specializing in African-

Saturday: Former Staplehouse teammates Sam Herndon and
Christopher Hathcock (Husk Savannah) team up for an artfully-
crafted meal inspired by beautiful Ossabaw.

other year, we try to outdo the last, and we think you’ve hit the

Roswell residents Shari and Tony Martin won our Keep Portland Weird
auction lot last year. On that trip, they befriended wine gal
Lindsay Woodard who owns Retour Wines in McMinnville, OR. Lindsay
and her brother Jeff, who owns Woodard Wines - a very cool wine
shop there - got together with the Martins to put together this
incredible offering for an early spring fete.
We have all the feels seeing a GK relationship come full circle
like this.
LOT INCLUDES:
24 guests are invited to Martin’s Garden at Coleman Farms in
Roswell for an evening of wining and dining on Saturday, May
4, 2019.
Guests arrive to a welcome tour of the one-acre organic
garden and meet and greet with the farm animals.
Lindsay and Jeff will then lead the group through a tasting
of 10 wines, including Lindsay’s Retour and top sellers from
Jeff’s store.
Then prepare to farm feast with a stunning meal prepared
by Chef Woody Back of Table & Main in Roswell and Chef Zeb

GET PRESIDENTIAL IN PLAINS
PLAINS, GA: MARCH 15-17, 2019
Four guests are invited to spend the weekend of March 15 in Plains,
GA exploring the sleepy South Georgia town the 94-year-old 39th
President of the United States Jimmy Carter calls home.
And since you’re in his hometown, on Sunday morning, President
Carter is scheduled to give a Sunday school lecture at Maranatha
Baptist Church. The Sunday school is open to the public, but entry
into the church is dependent on waking up very early and waiting in
a very long line... for most people. But YOU are not most people.
LOT INCLUDES:
This is a self-guided weekend in the county. Giving Kitchen’s
Bryan Schroeder will greet you upon arrival to make sure
you’re set up and ensure that your fridge is stocked with all
the basics - yes, there will be beer.

immerse themselves in the culture of Brown-Forman brands.
Before he passed away, Ryan Hidinger took this same trip where
he selected the blend for Spirit of Giving Kitchen, crafted by
Woodford Reserve which was proudly served by the Three Bozos (Chris
Hall, Ryan Turner and Todd Mussman) at their restaurants Eleanor’s,
Local Three Kitchen & Bar and Muss & Turner’s. For this trip,
Woodford Ambassador Guy Leone and the Bozos will be along to (mis)
direct your experience.
LOT INCLUDES:
$1,000 voucher to use for air travel. (Winner is responsible

Two couples fly to Louisville on a Tuesday with the Bozos
where you’ll check in to the Marriott and kick off with a
behind-the-scenes tour at Old Forester.
Freshen up, then you’re off to explore the local Louisville
scene with pointers from the Bozos for drinks, dinner and
perhaps a stop in the casino...
On Wednesday morning, you’ll tour the cooperage to see how
barrels are made.
Enjoy a curated barrel tasting, identify your very own
favorite, give it a name, then sit tight while the Woodford
team crafts your selection into 180 personalized Spirit of
bottles to be delivered to Atlanta later in the fall.
Spend the rest of the day with the team at Woodford,
including a creek-side lunch with Woodford’s master
distillers prepared by James Beard nominee chef-in-residence
Ouita Michel.
Share some laughs and stories under Ryan Hidinger’s tree,
which was planted six years ago, and reminisce about his time
at Woodford and the conceptualization of Giving Kitchen.

We have loved watching the Kimball House team grow and expand to
the historic Old Fourth Ward with the airy and vibrant Watchman’s
Seafood and Spirits. The two restaurants will collaborate on this
festive get-together – a great buy for a celebration or just cause.

40 guests are invited to the enjoy an outdoor oyster roast/
fish fry/cocktail party/craft beer cookout in the Kimball
