Flat6Labs Bahrain Summer 2020 cycle welcomed eight innovative startups to join our flagship 4-month accelerator program. This was the fifth cycle since our launch, both the teams and the content reflected a progressive and growing startup environment in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Everything from the calibre of the entrepreneurs, the high quality program material, to the support available from the wider startup community and government entities such as Tamkeen and EDB marked the enterprising growth of Bahrain’s Startup ecosystem. The fifth cycle received over 230 applications from more than 45 countries comprising of 50 different nationalities; which was then narrowed down to a final selection of eight startups that consisted of teams both locally and internationally, with businesses offering products and services in Ed-Tech, Prop Tech, VR, Pet Care, Social Networking and Health & Fitness. All teams have made great strides to improve their product-market fit and increase their customer traction. Flat6Labs Bahrain supported them through a seed capital investment and the acceleration program which consisted of over 90 hours of rigorous training and coaching sessions on topics ranging from growth hacking to financial modelling, supplemented with weekly mentorship sessions to support the entrepreneurs in developing their companies. We look forward to having our founders pave the way for the next generation of innovative businesses in Bahrain.
