TRAVEL
1. Swimmers from the driving regions are to arrive at the hotel no later than
1130hrs on Friday, 22 March 2019. Swimmers from the flying regions must
arrive at Toronto Pearson Airport no later than 1030hrs in order to be at the
hotel no later than 1130hrs. Parking is free at the hotel and competition sites.
2. Participants from the flying regions are to meet at the Avis car rental counter at
the Toronto Pearson Airport to pick up their rental vehicle. Vehicles will be
reserved under the names listed at Annex A. Additional insurance is not required
and designated drivers are to ensure that additional insurance is refused.
Designated drivers are responsible for returning the vehicle with a full tank of gas
at the end of the championship.
3. Participants from the flying regions will also travel to and from the competition
site in rental vehicles with the Ontario and Quebec participants.
4. Participants will not receive financial compensation for POMV if a GMT/DND
vehicle is leaving from the same Base/Wing, unless previously authorized by the
CAFSO.
5. Participants are not authorised to use the 407 (toll highway). Any tolls incurred
will be the financial responsibility of the designated driver and cannot be claimed.
6. Delegated authority for National Sports is assigned to the senior Sports position
at each location. Authorization is granted within the event outlined in the JI.
Please use the following GL for claims: NPF 0101-5100-8200-000-02223-000.
ACCOMMODATIONS
7. All swimmers will be staying at the Hilton Garden Inn Markham located at
300 Commerce Valley Dr. East, Thornhill ON (see attached Annex B).
8. Upon arrival, swimmers are to report to the hotel front desk to pick up their
designated room key. As noted in the General Instructions document, swimmers
will be housed two per room.
9. Once room keys have been secured, swimmers are asked to check in with the
PSP staff at the CAF National Swimming Welcome Booth located in the main
lobby of the hotel.
10. Due to the earlier check in time, some hotel rooms may not be ready upon
arrival. Should your room not be ready upon arrival, swimmers are asked to put
their luggage into the designated storage space provided by the hotel and then
continue to report in at the CAF National Swimming Welcome Booth.11. Check out times for all swimmers will be no later than 1000hrs on Monday, 25
March 2019. Keys are to be returned to the front desk. Hotel room costs will be
covered by the CAFSO. Any extra cost associated with the use of the room or its
amenities will be a personal responsibility.
12. The CAFSO must be immediately notified of any cancellations. If an athlete
decides not to stay in the accommodations provided, they will not receive
financial compensation for accommodations or ground transport for the
alternative that they have selected.
13. If an athlete is not staying at the hotel, but wishes to travel back and forth to take
advantage of the meals at the hotel, they need to let their PSP Sports
Coordinator know immediately. All participants, regardless of whether they are
or are not staying at the hotel MUST attend the Mandatory events.
MEALS
14. Meals listed below are covered by the CAFSO and will be provided at a meeting
room within the hotel:
a. 22 March, Breakfast @ 0700hrs-0900hrs (early arrivals only)
b. 22 March, Lunch @ 1230hrs
c. 23 March, Breakfast @ 0600hrs-0800hrs
d. 24 March, Breakfast @ 0600hrs – 0800hrs
e. 24 March, Supper @ 1730hrs (TBC)
f. 25 March, Breakfast @ 0600hrs- 0900hrs
15. The following amounts for meals en route, meals not provided, along with
incidentals, are authorized to be claimed using NPF GL 0101-5100-8200-000-
02223-000:
a. Breakfast - $ 20.25
b. Lunch - $19.85
c. Supper - $50.00
d. Incidentals - $17.30
MANDATORY EVENTS
16. The following are mandatory events at CAF National Swimming Championship
that swimmers and organizers must attend:
a. The Pre-Championship Lunch/Briefing –1230hrs Friday, 22 March
2019 at the Hilton Garden Inn “Garden Ballroom”;
b. All warm up sessions and swimmers respective races as outlined in
Annex D – Swim Meet Package; and
c. The CAF National Swimming Championship awards
presentation/Closing banquet – 1730hrs (TBC) Sunday, 24 March 2019
at the Hilton Garden Inn “Garden Ballroom”PRE-CHAMPIONSHIP BRIEFING
17. The Pre-Championship briefing will take place at Hilton Garden Inn Hotel in the
“Garden Ballroom” at 1230hrs 22 March 2019. Details pertaining to the
coordination of 2019 CAF National Swimming Championship will be addressed.
Athletes will also have an opportunity to have any of their questions answered as
well as meet the Chief Official, Athletic Trainers and the organizing staff.
REGISTRATION
18. All CAF swimmers were registered for the event by the CAFSO.
19. CFST (Canadian Forces Swim Team) affiliated swimmers registered in the 2019
Ontario Masters Swimming Championship are eligible for civilian awards and the
2019 CAF National Swimming Championship, assuming a qualifying time was
submitted in accordance to the CAF Swimming Rules (see attached Annex E).
ATHLETE SUPPORT
Athletic Trainers – General
20. There will be CAF athletic trainer support provided at this event. Details
regarding athletic trainer support will be provided during the pre-championship
briefing.
Day of the Events
21. All swimmers are reminded to bring their own lock to secure items in the change
rooms provided. Swimmers are expected to bring their own swimming suits, red
CAF team t-shirt, deck/warm-up gear and deck shoes/sandals. CAF swim caps
and a red CAF team t-shirt will be provided to all swimmers.
Miscellaneous
22. Swimmers will receive a commemorative item, red CAF team t-shirt and swim
cap at the pre-championship briefing.
23. As seating is limited on the pool deck, swimmers are encouraged bring a folding
chair if possible.

DÉPLACEMENTS
1. Les nageurs qui se rendent au championnat en véhicule doivent se présenter à
l’hôtel au plus tard à 11 h 30 le vendredi 22 mars 2019. Quant aux nageurs qui
voyagent par avion, ils doivent arriver à l’Aéroport de Toronto au plus tard à
10 h 30 afin d’être à l’hôtel au plus tard à 11 h 30. Le stationnement est gratuit
à l’hôtel et au lieu du championnat.
2. Les participants qui se rendent au championnat par avion doivent se rencontrer
au comptoir de l’entreprise de location de voitures Avis à l’Aéroport international
Pearson de Toronto pour passer prendre leur véhicule de location. Les véhicules
sont réservés aux noms des personnes précisées à l’annexe A. Aucune
assurance supplémentaire n’est nécessaire, et les chauffeurs désignés doivent
s’assurer de renoncer à cette assurance supplémentaire. Les chauffeurs
désignés sont chargés de faire le plein d’essence avant de retourner les
véhicules à la fin du championnat.
3. Tous les participants qui voyagent par avion peuvent également faire l’aller-
retour au lieu du championnat à bord de véhicules de location en compagnie de
participants des régions de l’Ontario et du Québec.
4. Les participants ne recevront aucune compensation financière pour l’utilisation
de leur véhicule personnel si un véhicule du TMG/MDN part de la même
base/escadre, sauf autorisation contraire du BSFAC.
5. Les participants ne sont pas autorisés à emprunter la 407 (autoroute à péage).
Le chauffeur désigné doit assumer les droits de péage et ceux-ci ne seront pas
remboursés.
6. Le pouvoir délégué pour l’approbation des déplacements liés au Programme de
sports nationaux est assigné à la personne qui occupe le poste le plus élevé
dans la Section des sports dans chaque localité. L’autorisation est accordée pour
l’événement précisé dans les Instructions de ralliement. Veuillez utiliser le
compte GL suivant pour les demandes de remboursement : FNP 0101-5100-
8200-000-02223-000.
HÉBERGEMENT
7. Tous les nageurs logeront à l’hôtel Hilton Garden Inn Markham situé au
300, promenade Commerce Valley Est, à Thornhill, en Ontario (voir l’annexe B).
8. À leur arrivée, tous les nageurs doivent se présenter à la réception de l’hôtel
pour obtenir la clé de leur chambre. Tel qu’il est précisé dans les Instructions
générales, les participants partageront une chambre pour deux personnes.9. Une fois qu’ils ont obtenu la clé de leur chambre, les nageurs doivent se
présenter au personnel des PSP au kiosque d’accueil du Championnat national
de natation des FAC aménagé dans l’entrée principale de l’hôtel.
10. Étant donné que les nageurs doivent se présenter tôt à l’hôtel, il est possible que
certaines chambres ne soient pas prêtes à leur arrivée. Si tel est le cas, ils
pourront entreposer leurs bagages à l’endroit désigné à l’hôtel et se présenter
par la suite au kiosque d’accueil du Championnat national de natation des FAC.
11. Les nageurs doivent quitter leur chambre au plus tard à 10 h le lundi 25 mars
2019. Ils doivent retourner leur clé à la réception. Le BSFAC couvrira le coût des
chambres. Les participants devront assumer tous les frais supplémentaires liés à
l’utilisation de la chambre ou autres.
12. Le BSFAC doit être informé immédiatement de toute annulation. Les athlètes qui
décident de ne pas demeurer à l’hôtel désigné ne recevront aucune
compensation financière pour l’hébergement ni le transport terrestre de leur
choix.
13. Les athlètes qui ne logent pas à l’hôtel, mais qui désirent se déplacer pour
prendre les repas à l’hôtel doivent en informer le coordonnateur des sports des
PSP immédiatement. Tous les participants, peu importe s’ils demeurent ou non à
l’hôtel, DOIVENT prendre part aux activités obligatoires.
REPAS
14. Les repas ci-dessous sont couverts par le BSFAC et offerts dans l’une des salles
de réunion de l’hôtel :
a. 22 mars, déjeuner de 7 h à 9 h (arrivées anticipées seulement);
b. 22 mars, dîner à 12 h 30;
c. 23 mars, déjeuner de 6 h à 8 h;
d. 24 mars, déjeuner de 6 h à 8 h;
e. 24 mars, souper à 17 h 30 (à confirmer);
f. 25 mars, déjeuner de 6 h à 9 h.
15. Les montants suivants peuvent être réclamés pour les repas en route, les repas
non fournis et les faux frais en utilisant le compte des FNP GL 0101-5100-8200-
000-02223-000 :
a. Déjeuner – 20,25 $;
b. Dîner –19,85 $
c. Souper – 50,00 $;
d. Faux frais – 17,30 $.
ACTIVITÉS OBLIGATOIRES
16. Les nageurs et les organisateurs doivent prendre part aux activités obligatoires
suivantes du Championnat national de natation des FAC :
a. Dîner/Séance d’information préchampionnat à 12 h 30, le vendredi
22 mars 2019, salle « Garden Ballroom » de l’hôtel Hilton Garden Inn;
b. Séances d’échauffement et courses respectives des nageurs tel qu’il
est précisé à l’annexe D - Trousse du Championnat des maîtres nageurs;c. Cérémonie de remise des prix/banquet de clôture du Championnat
national de natation des FAC à 17 h 30 (à confirmer), le dimanche
24 mars 2019, salle « Garden Ballroom » de l’hôtel Hilton Garden Inn.
SÉANCE D’INFORMATION PRÉCHAMPIONNAT
17. La séance d’information préchampionnat aura lieu à l’hôtel Hilton Garden Inn, dans
la salle « Garden Ballroom », à 12 h 30, le 22 mars 2019. Tous les détails
concernant la coordination du Championnat national de natation des FAC de 2019
seront donnés au cours de cette séance. Les athlètes auront également l’occasion
de poser des questions et de rencontrer l’officiel en chef, les soigneurs et le
personnel chargé de l’organisation du championnat.
INSCRIPTION
18. Le BSFAC a inscrit tous les nageurs des FAC au championnat.
19. Tous les nageurs affiliés à l’équipe de natation des FAC (ENFAC) qui sont inscrits
au Championnat des maîtres nageurs de l’Ontario de 2019 sont admissibles aux
prix remis aux civils et peuvent participer au Championnat national de natation des
FAC de 2019, à condition qu'ils aient soumis leur temps de qualification
conformément aux règlements du Championnat national de natation des FAC (voir
l’annexe E ci-jointe).
SOUTIEN AUX ATHLÈTES
Soigneurs – généralités
20. Des soigneurs des FAC seront présents au championnat. De plus amples
renseignements sur le soutien que les soigneurs offriront aux athlètes seront
donnés pendant la séance d’information préchampionnat.
Journée des épreuves
21. On rappelle à tous les nageurs d’apporter leur cadenas pour ranger leurs effets
personnels dans les casiers des vestiaires. Ils doivent apporter leurs maillots, le
t-shirt rouge d’équipe des FAC qui leur a été fourni, des vêtements d’échauffement
ainsi que des chaussures/sandales de plage. Un bonnet de bain des FAC et un t-
shirt rouge d’équipe des FAC seront remis à tous les nageurs.
Divers
22. Tous les nageurs recevront un article commémoratif, un t-shirt rouge d’équipe des
FAC et un bonnet de bain lors de la séance d’information préchampionnat.
23. Étant donné que les places assises au bord de la piscine sont limitées, les nageurs
sont invités à apporter une chaise pliante si possible.
