Einar Turkowski, born in 1972, studied illustration in
Hamburg with Rüdiger Stoye. His works have received
numerous awards both nationally and internationally,
including the Grand Prix of the 21st Biennale of
Illustrations in Bratislava, the Troisdorfer Bilderbuch-Preis,
and the Book Art Foundation. His work was also nomina-
ted for the Deutscher Jugend Literatur Preis. The author,
illustrator, and lecturer lives in Schleswig-Holstein near
Kiel.
