Welcome
Welcome to our first virtual St George’s Day. This time last year many of us could
not have predicted that we would still be doing virtual activities, a whole year on!

However, with positive news on the horizon that Scouting will hopefully soon return
to a form of normality, we are hoping that this event will be an opportunity to remind
our members of all ages of the fun and adventures that Scouting can offer and
increase the excitement for face-to-face events starting up again.

We hope to have as many of you join us as possible over the weekend and
encourage you to share the event as widely as possible with those outside your
traditional Scouting links.

Non-Scouting members are equally welcome to participate in the event and we
would like to encourage young people to share the fun with friends or family
members.

The District Team have pulled together some ideas that you could do either on your
own at home with your family or as part of your colony, pack, troop or unit!

About the event
This St George’s Day has been developed to allow you to build your own
programme to celebrate the day, whether you want to make it a virtual activity day,
an @Home Camp or if you want to meet up in your sections. We have provided the
basics so you can build your own programme how you like.

We do have some District Wide activities running throughout the day on our Social
Media, Website and Zoom Platform.

Promise Renewal, lead by our District Youth Commissioners, District Commissioner
and ADC (Sections). So, pop your uniforms on and join us to renew our promises.

       1800 - Our St Georges Day Kahoot Quiz goes Live.

       From 1800, Scouts, Explorers and Network can take part in our St George’s 2021
       Kahoot Quiz and be in with the change of being crowned our St Georges 2021
       Kahoot Champion and potentially win a prize.

       Sunday
       1400 – St George’s Day Service and Promise Renewal (Zoom)

            Join us on zoom as we host a short service with members of our District
       Team and ultimately renew our promises.

       1700 – St Georges Day 2021 Kahoot Quiz Closes

       Monday
       1000 - St Georges Day 2021 Kahoot Champion Announced

             It’s time to announce our St Georges 2021 Kahoot Quiz Champion over on
             our Facebook Page

Calling all Scouts, Explorers & Network, why not see if you can be crowned our ST
Georges Day 2021 Kahoot Champion.

Head on over to https://kahoot.it/challenge/03483069?challenge-id=a4d6cadb-
a5a7-4709-81df-35d31feeddcd_1618425928474 with the game pin = 03483069.

Once joined, enter the Quiz using your first name and then your Section and Scout
Group (e.g. EliseScoutsFrekclton or RobExplorersTarka) Have a go over the
weekend to see if you can be crowned the champion.

The winner will be announced on Monday morning via our Social Media.

Doris the Dragon Hunt
Head down to page 5 for our colouring in sheet of Doris the Dragon. Colour it in and
stick it up in your window to shout about Fylde Scouts’ St George’s Day Celebration.
Whilst on your Scavenger Hunt keep your eyes peeled and see if you can find Doris.
