Mary also takes place within us, spiritually, when we
receive the word of God with a good and sincere heart
and put it into practice. It is as if God takes flesh
within us; he comes to dwell in us, for he dwells in all
who love him and keep his Word. Believing in Jesus
means giving him our flesh with the humility and
courage of Mary, so that he can continue to dwell in
our midst. It means giving him our hands, to caress the
little ones and the poor; our feet, to go forth and meet
our brothers and sisters; our arms, to hold up the weak
and to work in the Lord’s vineyard, our minds, to
think and act in the light of the Gospel; and especially
to offer our hearts to love and to make choices in
accordance with God’s will.

Mrs. Carol Burlinski is pleased to share with our parish community a new program being implemented at
St. Isaac Jogues School this semester. Teaching Together Chicago brings together the neighborhood Catholic
School, young adults with disabilities and local social service agencies.
The program helps young adults with disabilities be hired as interns, working in 10 week segments for up
to 16 hours a week. The social service agencies will be responsible for job coaching and mentoring.
What is so exciting is that the gifts and skills of young adults with disabilities will be recognized and
utilized with our school. The social service agencies will share their expertise. St. Isaac Jogues School will
become more inclusive and at the same time have additional resources.
St. Isaac Jogues School is able to participate in the Teaching Together Chicago program thanks to the
generous donation from a current school family. Ms. Heather Farrell currently helps our office staff, teachers,
and students on Mondays and Wednesdays.
