DINING
Heathrow is a thriving business area, home to several important companies (Symantec,
AAA, BankOne, besides many smaller companies). Their employees need to eat.
Therefore, there are many, many eating places very close to the SYMANTEC buildings.
The list below is by no means all inclusive. Whatever your taste, you will probably
find a restaurant to your liking within a 5 minute drive of SYMANTEC.
Here are some choices:

Luigino's Pasta & Steak House
140 International Parkway Italian style food. One of the best restaurants in the area, with great
food and atmosphere.

AAA Cafeteria
Best value for your money. You can buy more than you can eat for $5 or less, and the food is
decent.
Applebees
7055 County Rd 46A.
Also one of the closest restaurants

Bob Evans Restaurant
3860 Flagg Lane off Lake Mary Blvd.

Keller's Barbeque
3893 Lake Emma Road. Barbequed chicken and fries.

Osaka Japanese Steak House
3847 Lake Emma Road.
Oriental food at decent prices. This place is the unofficial SYMANTEC cafeteria; at
lunch, you can always find some SYMANTEC employee there.

Lake Mary Marriot
1501 International Parkway.
The hotel has a fine restaurant. This is also one of the closest eateries in the area.

Longhorn Steakhouse
3700 Lake Emma Road

Panera Bread
1210 South International Parkway

Pizzeria Uno Chicago Bar & Grill
901 Currency Circle (off Lake Mary Blvd.)

Toojay's Gourmet Deli
3577 Lake Emma Road.
If you like sandwiches, this is the place.
Chile's
4565 West Lake Mary Boulevard

Stonewood Tavern and Grill
1210 South International Parkway.
Supposed to be one of the best restaurants in the area.

Heathrow, Florida

Heathrow can be considered a "suburb" of Orlando, whose downtown area is about 20 minutes
away. People from all over the world come to vacation in Orlando, which is famous for its
multiple theme parks and attractions. Any Orlando theme park will take at least one complete
day to see. Note: During the Florida summer (mid-June, July, August), the heat and the lines in
the theme parks make visiting extremely arduous, especially in the Disney parks. For the
theme parks, best to come any other time of the year except summer.

ATTRACTIONS
Walt Disney World
http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/waltdisneyworld/index (about 30-45 minutes from
Heathrow) The entire area of Walt Disney World contains four major theme parks, two water
parks and more:

Magic Kingdom
The first and most popular of all the theme parks in the world. This one is best for taking the
kids.
EPICOT
Half of the park is Future World, with future and science-oriented rides, while the other half is
World Showcase, with pavilions representing countries from around the world.

Disney-MGM Studios
Rides and shows that are based more on motion pictures.

Typhoon Lagoon
Water Park with artificial lagoon that has waves.

Blizzard Beach
Water Park themed as a beach with snow.

Downtown Disney
Shopping\restaurant\nightclub area. Entrance is free, but some of the places inside charge an
admission (such as Disney Quest, a high-tech arcade, and Cirque du Soleil, which is something
like an artistic circus).

Universal Studios Orlando
http://themeparks.universalstudios.com/orlando/website/ index.html?__source=RGMN
(about 30 minutes from Heathrow)

Universal Studios
All film-based rides and shows

Islands of Adventure
Thrill rides. For lovers of roller coasters and other thrill rides, this is probably the best park in
Central Florida.
Sea World
The mother of all aquariums. If you like dolphin shows and whales and such, this is
the place for you.

BEACHES
New Smyrna Beach
The closest beach, about 1 hour away. This is a pretty beach to walk on and see. There are not
so many people either. Occasionally, it has sharks, though. http://volusia.com/nsb/

Daytona Beach
Famous for its bike fest, Daytona 500 racing and boardwalk, about 1 ½ hours away. Beach is
rather plain, and you have to watch out for the cars that are constantly rolling over the sand.

Clearwater Beach\St. Petersburg Beach
About 2 hours away, but recommended. Many locals prefer the beaches on this Western side of
the state, the water is calmer and warmer, and you get to catch the sunset on the ocean.

SHOPPING
The closest shopping area to Heathrow is the Seminole Towne Center, about 5-10 minutes
driving distance away from Heathrow. http://www.simon.com/mall/ default.aspx?ID=122 For
the best movie theaters, go to the Altamonte Mall AMC Theaters (about 15-20 minutes away).
Although the closer Seminole Towne Center has decent theaters, the Altamonte Mall AMC
theaters are new, top-of-the-line and have stadium seating.
http://www.movietickets.com/house_detail.asp?house_id=8526 If you want to spend lots of
money or just look at some really expensive stuff, you can go to the Millenia Mall. This mall is
the latest and greatest in Orlando, housing such stores as Tiffany's and Macy's. It's next to the
same highway that goes to the theme parks. http://www.mallatmillenia.com/
ARTS
Yes, we do have arts in Orlando. It's not all Mickey Mouse and Spiderman.

Morse Museum of American Art
This museum houses the world's largest collection of the works of Louis Tiffany, a
19th century artist who created some of the finest glass art found anywhere.
http://www.morsemuseum.org/louis.html.
(About 20 minutes away from Heathrow, located in Winter Park.)

Orlando Museum of Art
Orlando's official art museum. http://www.omart.org/

Leu Gardens
For all nature lovers and horticulturists, this is the place to go when you visit Orlando. A large
area with all sorts of plants, lakes and picturesque buildings, this place can be quite refreshing
after going through the theme parks. http://www.leugardens.org/
