A stunning exemplar the Second-Empire style, the pavilion of La Grande Cascade was
erected for Napoleon III in the verdant Bois de Boulogne and transformed into a restaurant
for the 1900 World’s Fair. Its high-ceilinged, gilded, and mirrored interior serves as the

Chef Stéphane Gaborieau is inspired by the food of southern France,
and the restrained but present use of spice characteristic of the region. The cozy
and warm restaurant boasts surprisingly bold art, a deft moment of wit that
echoes Gaborieau’s innovative take on classic cuisine.
