ENTRY RULES + REGULATIONS
ENTRANT Q UALIFICATIONS
Ø Entrant and/or co-entrant must be a design professional that completed a qualifying
   project within the established design period. Open to NKBA members and non-
   members.
Ø NKBA Certification not required to enter
Ø Maximum of two (2) entrants per project allowed
Ø Co-entrants will be listed on the award
Ø Duplicate trophies are available for purchase
PROJECT CRITERIA
Ø Qualifying projects completed between January 1, 2015 and April 1, 2019
Ø Past Peak entries that were not awarded may be re-entered but must adhere to 2019
   submittal requirements
Ø Projects that have been awarded, outside of Peak and/or the NKBA National Design
   Competition, are eligible for submittal
DESIGN CATEGORIES
Ø   Small Kitchen: less than 150 SF
Ø   Medium Kitchen: 150 – 250 SF
Ø   Large Kitchen: more than 250 - 350 SF
Ø   Extra Large Kitchen: more than 350 SF
Ø   Powder Room: must contain only sink and toilet
Ø   Small Bathroom: less than 50 SF
Ø   Medium Bathroom: 50 – 120 SF
Ø   Large Bathroom: more than 120 SF
Ø   Other Cabinetry: laundry, mudroom, office, bar, etc.
Ø   Best Before & After Kitchen
Ø   Best Before & After Bathroom
ENTRY FEES
Ø Each NKBA member entrant will pay an entry fee of $150 (includes Gala ticket) for 1st
 project, and $100 for each additional project

Ø Non-member entrants will pay an entry fee of $250 (includes Gala ticket) for 1st
 project, and $200 for each additional project

Ø Early entry discount of only $50 on first submission if submitted by March 31, 2019!

Ø Co-entrants (member and non-member) will pay an entry fee of $100 and may
 purchase a discounted Gala ticket for $50

Ø Submit a design board (one per project) and receive a $50 refund from your entry fee!

Ø Entry fees are non-refundable
 Entry fees payable online or by check to NKBA Rocky Mountain Chapter and mailed to:

  submissions accepted.

  ZIP your files together to prepare them for submittal
Ø Go to your computer’s file manager
Ø Click on the main folder for your entry
Ø Click the “Share” tab, then the “Zip” icon
Ø A new folder will appear in your file manager with the same name as
  your main folder but will be listed as a “Compressed (Zipped) Folder”
  type with this icon

DESIGN BOARDS
Ø Will be judged by Peak Sponsors
Ø Will also be judged by Peak Gala attendees
Ø Winners will receive cash prizes

                          Create one design board
Ø   One per project to be judged at the Gala and possibly be awarded CASH!
Ø   Board Size: 22” W x 24” H with ½” border around perimeter
Ø   Mounted on foam core in portrait orientation
Ø   Mandatory: Leave 4” x 4” blank space in upper left corner of the board
Ø   Photographs and plans only
      Ø 3 – 5 photos, use 8 x 10, 5 x 7 and/or 4 x 6
Ø   Vendor/product list
      Ø 8 x 10 sheet
      Ø Attach to the back of the board in an envelope or folder for easy
        retrieval/removal
      Ø Do not include any information regarding the designer, client, or contractor
CASH MONEY!

Ø   Open for entries March 1st, 2019
Ø   Early bird $50 Discount on first submission if submitted by March 31st , 2019
Ø   Final submission deadline May 5th, 2019
