HOME INDUSTRIES & CHILDREN’S
         SCHEDULE

                Entries close 8.15am 16 January 2021
                  Entry Fee: $1 per entry, maximum $10.00 per Section
                             Childrens Section – Free Entry

General Rules:
  • Exhibits must be delivered to the show grounds on Friday prior to the show between
     4pm and 7:30pm or between 7.30 am and 8.15am of show day.
  • No entries will be accepted after 8.15am. Competitors to have left building by 8.30am
  • All exhibits are entered at competitors own risk.
  • There will be security on the grounds on Friday evening and the building will be locked.
  • Exhibits must be picked up by 5pm on Saturday or they will be disposed of.
  • All exhibits to be grown or made by the exhibitor.
  • Photos must be from amateur photographers only in photo section or they will be
     disqualified
  • Children may enter the adult classes however they will be subject to entry fee.
  • Presentation of ribbons and trophies will be at 3:15pm.
  • Exhibits may only be removed from building after prize giving and prior to 5:00pm.
  • The hall will be closed for judging until approximately 11:30am.
  • Classes may be split if necessary
  • Sponsor’s prizes may be awarded in place of prize money
  • Judges decision will be final.

            Culinary – Jams & Preserves, etc. Section

•   Any size jars. Removable lids on pickles etc. Cellophane jam covers on jam/jelly.
•   No names on the jars please.
•   All jars must be clean, labeled and dated.
•   All exhibits must be homemade.

    700 - Homemade Savoury Sauce, 1 bottle
    701 - Preserved Beetroot, 1 jar
    702 - Chutney, any variety 1 jar
    703 - Tomato Relish, 1 jar
    704 - Pickle, any variety, 1 jar
    705 - Lemon or Lime Honey/Curd, 1 jar
    706 - Preserved fruit, any type, 1 jar
    707 - Marmalade, 1 jar
    708 - Jelly, any variety 1 jar
    709 - Any berry jam, 1 jar
    710 - Any stone fruit jam, 1 jar

                                 Produce Section

•   To be judged on quality, unless otherwise stated.
•   5cm leaf stalk on root vegetables. Brassicas leaves left on except Broccoli.
•   To be presented on a white disposable plate where possible.
•   Vegetables and fruit must be washed.
•   No commercially grown produce accepted.
    716 – Potatoes, 3 for the table
    717 - Potatoes, 3 large
    718 - Carrots, 3
    719 - Table tomatoes, 3
    720 - Cocktail tomatoes, 3
    721 - Rhubarb, 3 stalks (5cm leaf on)
    722 - Strawberries, 3
    723 - Any other fruit, 3
    724 - Lettuce, 1
    725 - Pods peas, 3
    726 - Pods beans, 3
    727 - Onions, 3 (skin & roots on)
    728 - Cabbage, 1
    729 - Silver beet, 3 stems
    730 - Courgette/Zuchinni, 3
    731 - Radish, 3
    732 - Garlic, 3
    733 - Broccoli or Cauliflower, 1
    734 - Any other vegetable, 3
    735 - Largest vegetable, any type, 1
    736 - Garden Oddity, fruit or vegetable, 1
    737 - Hen eggs, 3 single yolk, best quality and weight considered
    738 - Collection of 6 vegetables, 1 of each variety
    739 - Collection of herbs, 5 only in an Agee jam jar or similar
    740 - Salad Selection- contents to be all grown by exhibitor, presented on pudding plate or
    similar

    Special Class:
    741 – Cut flowers arranged in a large Agee jar or similar – contents must be grown by
    exhibitor

•   Each exhibit must be presented on a white disposable plate (side plate size please, other
    than Sponge Cakes, Cake, Pie or loaf). Please cover with a plastic bag.

    745 - Scones any variety, 3
    746 - Muffins, 3 of any variety, baked in tins, no paper
    747 - Loaf of bread, 1 - white or brown
    748 - Loaf, suitable for buttering
    749 - Shortbread, 3 pieces
    750 - Brownie, 3 pieces
    752 - Cake, any variety 1 (unfilled and un-iced)
    753 - Square, 3 pieces any filling or topping
    754 - Belgium biscuits, 3
    755 - Biscuits, 3 of any type - no icing
    756 - Biscuits, 3 of any type – with icing
    757 - Decorated cupcakes, 3
    758 - Chocolate Cake – BLOKES ONLY
    759 – Pie with all the trimmings (sweet or savoury), 1 – BLOKES ONLY

    760 - Best Decorated Cake

•   All photos to be 6” x 4” and unmounted.
•   Photographs are not to have been exhibited at a previous Winton A&P Show.
•   Photographs must be the work of the exhibitor.
•   Limit of 3 entries per exhibitor per class

•   Paintings to be no larger than 50cm x 50cm.
•   Paintings must be the work of an amateur artist.
•   Handcraft article not to have been shown at a previous Winton A & P Show
•   Quilts must be under 2m x 2m
•   Pro-quilted quilts must state name of who quilted
    775 - Painting- acrylic, oil, or watercolour
    776 - Artwork - Any medium, unframed
    777 - Framed Cross - stitch
    778 - Patchwork quilt
    779 - Patchwork article - other than quilt
    780 - Handmade article not scheduled elsewhere e.g. Crochet, embroidery, or lace

    783 - Hand knitted garment – 8 or more ply wool
    784 - Machine Stitched Garment

        799 - A greeting card - handmade, any medium A4 size folded
        800 - Vegetable & Fruit Creation – on a plastic plate
        801 - Decorated gingerbread people, 3 on a plastic plate
        802 - Handmade article – Bird Feeder
        803 - Pet Rock
        804 - Coloured photo print 6 x 4 - exhibitor must have taken photo
        805 - Lego creation displayed on tray not to exceed 30cm

10 years to 13 years
        806 - Gift card, handmade any medium
        807 - uncooked slice, 3 on plastic plate
        808 - Handmade article, using natural/recycled material
        809 - Artwork Any Medium, A4 Size
        810 - Coloured photo print 6 x 4 - must be taken by exhibitor
        811 - Bird Feeder
        812 - Lego Scene creation displayed on tray not to exceed 50 cm

                     Special class – open to all children 13 years and under

        813 - Harvest Basket, decorated & filled with produce no larger than 40cm, judged on
        creativity
