A protocol signed between AOI - Arab Organization for Industrialization & Sepratec of South Korea to cooperate in issues related to sea water desalination technologies Jun 18, 2019
& in raising local manufacturing components in related inputs. That was announced by AOI Chairman General Abbdul Monem Al Tarras indicating cooperation would
extend to technology transfer & localization of sea water desalination requisites & the production of related membranes for the national industry, also training of
personnel. Also involved is the cooperation in the design & production of production lines for membranes & pressurized containers for desalination stations. On his side,
general El Tarras indicated that Egypt targets to avail local requirements & export the surplus Arab & African countries. N.B. Observers have repeatedly praised Egypt
tangible potential in terms of mobile, vessels mounted waste water seawater desalination applications along its long costs. Worth reminding that the AOI owns

Egypt agricultural exports for the six months extending September 2018 to February 2019 totaling almost 1.91 million tons slightly below 1.92 million tons reached Apr 03, 2019
during the comparison period of the previous year. That was revealed by the Agricultural Crops Export Council indicating that front runners among importing countries
included Saudi Arabia, Russia, Iraq & Lebanon. Value wise receipt during the period declined slightly to $ 1.014 billion down from $ 1.071 billion in the comparison
period, still that was a record. Also relevant exports to Arab countries during the same period reached 913,700 tons representing 48 % of total representing $ 414,9
million of value.
Fish production from the High Dam Lake during 2018/ 2019 exceeding with 25,000 tons almost 25 % growth above its level in 2017/2018. That was announced by Apr 05, 2019
General Ahmed Ibrahim, Aswan Governor, indicating the development attributed to the dredging & cleaning of the Egyptian lakes all over the country to reach a total
annual fish production of 30,000 tons in 2020. Over the past few months a flood of public auctions was released in the media for the leasing & exploitation of fish farms
all over the country. Impact on the above on farmers public is self explanatory. Meanwhile development pushed a strong trend to enhance & develop a strong fish fodder
and fish canning industry along the Nile Valley.
Ministry of Supply & Home trade placing new orders for strategic food commodities while getting closer to Ramadan month. That was announced the Minister of Supply Apr 14, 2019
& Home Trade indicating them include 114,000 tons of white rice from China, Vietnam & India, 113,000 of raw edible oil for refining and 240,000 tons of wheat from
Romania & Ukraine. Orders would raise strategic inventories of each of them to 6 months.
Loans & Grants
A responsible source in one of the 5 banks] alliance who expended L.E. 2.9 billion loan to Al Canal (Beat) Sugar Co. announcing owners already drew L.E. 1 billion from Jun 10, 2019
the loan. Alliance include the NBE, Qatari National Bank, Suez Canal Bank, Al Mottahed Bank & the Industrial Development Bank. Loan comprises L.E. 1.2 billion trench
and $ 100 million trench, now valued L.E. 1.7 billion. The project plans to annually produce 900,000 tons of beat sugar.
$ 200 million soft loans endorsed by the World Bank to finance small & medium scale industries with concentration on projects lead/ initiated by women particularly Apr 12, 2019

A protocol signed between AOI - Arab Organization for Industrialization & Sepratec of South Korea to cooperate in issues related to sea water desalination technologies Jun 18, 2019
& in raising local manufacturing components in related inputs. That was announced by AOI Chairman General Abbdul Monem Al Tarras indicating cooperation would
extend to technology transfer & localization of sea water desalination requisites & the production of related membranes for the national industry, also training of
personnel. Also involved is the cooperation in the design & production of production lines for membranes & pressurized containers for desalination stations. On his side,
general El Tarras indicated that Egypt targets to avail local requirements & export the surplus Arab & African countries. N.B. Observers have repeatedly praised Egypt
tangible potential in terms of mobile, vessels mounted waste water seawater desalination applications along its long costs. Worth reminding that the AOI owns
Alexandria Ship Yard which believed to be worth a stronger push of both the AOI & the Country's Agriculture & Fish Wealth Development Sector.
