The group have channelled their inner ‘techie’ and have been
producing a series of podcasts, talking about their experiences of
being a young carer and how Blackpool Carers has supported

Heroes get on their bikes for Young Carers’ Awareness Day
     oung Carers’ Awareness Day (YCAD)
 Y   on Thursday 30th January, had the
 theme of ‘Count Me In’ and that was
 the message which went out from our
 Young Carers’ team to schools across
 Blackpool. We challenged all schools to
 pledge support for, and raise awareness
 of issues faced by young people
 because of their caring role.

 To enable local schools to get involved
 by raising awareness and funds for
 Blackpool’s Young Carers, we organised
 two special events.
