It’s a winter Spectacular this week…
Situated in the heart of Torquay, the TLH group of hotels offer all the amenities of a holiday

At their Victoria Hotel, bedrooms are located over 4 floors and there is a lift to most rooms.
Drinking and dining in the Hotel is an informal affair, with a wide selection of tasty dishes on

Departing on Saturday morning, we travel to Folkestone & check into the Burstin Hotel.
Situated on the harbourside, this large hotel is renowned for good food & entertainment. All
bedrooms are en-suite and most rooms have good views over the harbour.
Evening dinner is a 3 course meal with tea/coffee. The entertainment tonight is a mix of bingo,
quiz & cabaret.
On Sunday, after a hearty breakfast, our excursion is a shopping trip to France and Belgium –
so don’t forget your passport. We return in time for evening dinner and to-nights
entertainment.
Monday is a free day to enjoy Folkestone. Breakfast & evening dinner are included again to-
day as is the entertainment.
We depart for home after breakfast on Tuesday, arriving back by mid afternoon.

It’s time for a cosy break….
This year we are again pleased to be able to offer you accommodation at The Queens Hotel.
This is a 3* hotel situated on the flat and only a short 5 minute walk to the seafront, harbour &
town centre. It has an indoor heated pool, secluded patio area and a lounge with large dance
floor, where there is entertainment every night.
All 76 bedrooms are comfortably furnished, have en-suite facilities and are all served by the
lift. There are also few ground floor rooms available – early booking is recommended for
these. The air conditioned restaurant is spacious and light and the service is attentive and
friendly. A full English breakfast or Continental breakfast is available each morning and the 5
course evening dinner menu offers a choice of up to 4 starters, 4 main dishes ( including a
vegetarian option) and a selection of desserts.
The itinerary for this cosy break includes a cocktail & sherry reception on Monday evening
followed by a candle-lit 5 course dinner and then the evening entertainment.
On Tuesday we have a visit to nearby Torquay and we return to the hotel in time for afternoon
tea & a quiz. Your 5 course evening dinner is followed by a game of bingo and then live
entertainment.
On Wednesday we have an excursion to Plymouth again returning to the hotel for afternoon tea
& fun bingo. Your evening dinner is again followed by a night of cabaret style entertainment.

The Alexandra Hotel is conveniently situated on Eastbourne's elegant sea-front, with superb

the Cocktail Bar, overlooking the sea-front. The bright spacious dining room has panoramic sea

Lakeland Glory

Spring comes to the Lakes….
In an area that has inspired painters & poets, with cascading waterfalls & sweeping mountains,
this is the part of Britain that truly deserves to be called an area of outstanding natural beauty.
Departing on Sunday we travel to Bowness and settle into the 3* Windemere Hydro Hotel.
Situated above the town it was fully refurbished in 2017. The Hydro has over 80 bedrooms,
all non-smoking and with private facilities. Many of the rooms have spectacular views
over Lake Windermere and the Lake's edge is only minutes away. It has a swimming pool,
spa, sauna and mini gym. There is a lift and it provides entertainment on 2 evenings.
On Monday we jump aboard the Haverthwaite Steam Railway for a 20 ride to Leven Valley.
This afternoon we travel to Holker Hall & Gardens – regarded as one of the best staely homes
in Britain. Here you can explore both the house & Lakeland garden.
Tuesday sees us aboard the Ullswater Steamer for a cruise on the lake. Afterwards we have
free time in Keswick.
Wednesday morning is free to explore Bowness before we visit the Bassenthwaite & Lakes
Distillery where they produce world class English whisky, gin & vodka!
We return home on Thursday, arriving back by late afternoon.

Oh we do like to be beside the seaside and you can’t get much closer than this ….
Departing on Saturday morning we travel to Portsmouth for the afternoon ferry and arrive at
The Trouville Hotel with time to relax before dinner. This 3* hotel is situated on the seafront
and yet only 2 mins walk to the shops.
All bedrooms are en-suite but there are no walk-in showers. All twin/double rooms have
seaviews. (Some single rooms are available but do NOT have seaviews). For those who like
some gentle activity, the hotel has table tennis, darts and a pool table.
The hotel offers a varied choice of menu, with up to 5 choices of main meal, including
vegetarian dishes. After dinner you can enjoy a walk along the prom before settling down to
enjoy the entertainment in the ballroom, with dancing to suit all ages and abilities.
After a hearty breakfast on Sunday, we’re off on our travels giving you the opportunity to
sample some of the many delights of this glorious little island. We return to our hotel in time

quaint shops, admire the exotic plants in the nearby “Chine” or wander along the seafront.
On Tuesday we venture to Newport and Godshill.
We return home on Wednesday morning, arriving back in this area by late afternoon.

Once again we are pleased to be able to offer you a holiday in the
delightful Channel Islands.
Jersey – the most southerly of the British Isles – has a unique charm, which stems from its
mixture of British & French backgrounds. The scenery on the island is really varied - there are
beautiful long sandy beaches and secluded coves. The local attractions include everything
from Neolithic caves to the German built Underground hospital, the glass church to the pottery,
the rugged coastline to the zoo. Shopaholics will love St Helier where all the prices are VAT
free and lovers of sea food will truly appreciate the local cuisine. Getting around is easy too -
there is a very good local bus service that serves all parts of the island.
Accommodation is provided at The Norfolk Lodge Hotel.. All bedrooms have private

The most popular resort on the South coast…
Situated on the seafront, The Suncliff Hotel is a lovely 3* hotel with an excellent reputation.
All bedrooms are en-suite with colour TV, radio, hairdryer and tea/coffee tray. The lift serves
all rooms on the first to fourth floors as well as the restaurant on the lower ground floor. There
are some bedrooms on the ground floor but there are 8 steps to these rooms. Front facing
seaview rooms are available at a supplement.
Meals are served to you at your allotted table in the spacious dining room and there is
entertainment in the lounge on 2 evenings. The hotel has an indoor pool & sauna
Our excursion on Tuesday will take you to the New Forest with a stop in Lyndhurst en-route
to Salisbury.
On Wednesday, we’re off to Swanage, travelling via the chain bridge with lovely views of

Come & enjoy a scenic & seaside holiday...
The Beaches Hotel enjoys a unique position, on the sea front, in North Wales. Because of this
all bedrooms have views of the beaches and sea, or the Prestatyn hills.
The spacious reception lounge has a lift to all three floors and provides easy access to the
function lounge, Promenade Bar and outside patio area, which look out over the beach to the
Irish Sea. The Dunes restaurant is warm, welcoming and relaxed. Guests have complimentary

On Tuesday we travel to Penrhyn Castle – a 19th centuary fantasy - followed by freetime in
Llandudno.

to the summit. This afternoon we travel back in time with a visit to the National Slate
Museum to learn about the life of the quarry folk.
Thursday we travel to Anglesey and take a photostop at Beaumaris Castle before joining the
afternoon cruise around Puffin Island – famed for its colony of puffins, and regular sightings of
grey seals & dolphins.
We return home on Friday, arriving back by late afternoon.

This year we are pleased to add Southsea to our programme. This historic area is well worth a
visit – there’s The D Day museum, pier & theatres in Southsea as well as the historic dockyard,
Gun Wharf Quay (for shopping!) and Spinnaker Tower in Portsmouth. Or you can take the
hovercraft from Southsea to Isle of Wight – it makes for a memorable day out.
Accommodation is provided at the Best Western Royal Beach Hotel. This beautiful Victorian
building stands proudly on the seafront opposite the Pier, giving the lounge panoramic views of
the Solent. There are 2 lifts that serve all 124 bedrooms. These rooms all have en-suite

Departing on Friday morning we travel to Portsmouth for the afternoon ferry and arrive at
The Trouville Hotel with time to relax before dinner. This 3* hotel is situated on the seafront

All bedrooms are en-suite but there are no walk-in showers. All twin/double rooms have

Nestled away on the western side of Chichester Harbour, Hayling Island is joined to the
mainland by a bridge, is nicely situated for visiting Portsmouth and the surrounding area, and
we are pleased to be able to - once again - offer you a great value holiday at Mill Rythe
Holiday Village.
All the accommodation is in chalets and the rooms have comfortable beds, duvet & pillows,
shower and /or full length bath, colour TV & tea and coffee making facilities. Please Note:
Some rooms are accessed via a flight of stairs and we cannot guarentee that ground floor rooms
will be available.
Full English Breakfasts and 3 course evening dinners are included this week and your meals
will be served to you at your reserved table. However, if you prefer, you can help yourself
from a vast array of dishes at the “Tastes of the world” selection, omelette bar or salad bar.
The theme this week is Christmas so expect festive music, themed meals and decorated trees !
The best of British entertainment from past decades will be live on stage. This break also

Situated on the seafront, The Suncliff Hotel is a lovely 3* hotel with an excellent reputation.
All bedrooms are en-suite with colour TV, radio, hairdryer and tea/coffee tray. The lift serves
all rooms on the first to fourth floors as well as the restaurant on the lower ground floor. There
are some bedrooms on the ground floor but there are 8 steps to these rooms. Meals are served
to you at your allotted table in the spacious dining room. There is entertainment in the lounge
on 2 evenings and a free bar every night from 6pm to 9pm.
Our excursion on Tuesday morning will take you to Christchurch., returning to the hotel by
1.00pm for a hot lunch.
On Wednesday, we’re off to Lyndhurst & Salisbury – the hotel provides us with a packed
lunch today.
On Thursday, we have a morning visit to nearby Poole, again rerunning to the hotel for a hot
lunch..
We return home on Friday, arriving back in the area by mid afternoon.
