COLLECTIONS FOR THE HOMELESS PERIOD PROJECT: 10:00AM-11:30AM
The lack of access to menstrual hygiene products for females
is often misunderstood or unknown to many. Menstrual
hygiene products are necessities for females but are not
available in many schools, shelters, and emerging communities
to women and girls in need and are one of the least donated
items to homeless and women’s shelters. Lacking the ability to
purchase menstrual hygiene products can be debilitating
because it can hinder the ability to attend work or school. For
homeless women, the repercussions can go even further. Lack
of supply due to financial reasons leaves many women and
girls in dire need of these essential items. The Homeless
Period Project aims at educating the public on this issue,
advocating for change, and supplying these items for women in
need. The St. James Social Justice Ministry will be collecting
menstrual pads, tampons, liners and individually wrapped
feminine hygiene wipes during the month of January to help
women and girls in need. Please consider donating. A donation
box is available in the gathering space.
SOCIAL ACTION BOX: Each month, the Social Justice
Ministry will be collecting monetary donations for a different
need. During the month of January, please consider donating
to the Homeless Period Project. A box for donations will be
available in the gathering space.

Sorpresas, maravillas, milagros, oportunidades,
©LPi
