Resident Council Meetings are postponed due to the
current outbreak! As soon as we are able meetings will
resume. Due to space restrictions, we have to limit who can
attend. Unit representatives and resident council executives will
attend each month but there are extra spaces for residents! Each
month a different unit will be invited to help fill up our empty
spaces and to make sure we get a chance to hear from everyone!
Let your recreation coordinator know if you want to attend!

God calls each of us to a specific work, to give of ourselves in the service of others.
The Sisters of Providence of St. Vincent de Paul officially opened the doors of Provi-
dence Place on September 19, 1917 over 103 years ago. During those 103 years
many changes and additions occurred in the facility. Many staff have walked these
halls, always with compassion and concern. Always striving to meet the needs of the
residents and adapting to the changing community. The Sisters and staff were and
are committed to the healing ministry of Jesus. Today the Sisters have entrusted their
work to us, to those here today, to continue caring for the disabled and the elderly with
compassion.
We wish all our residents, staff and families bountiful blessings in 2021. John
14:27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world
gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
Spiritual Care update: We continue to evolve our routine with this pandemic to meet
the spiritual needs. We are doing individual services with our iPad and speaker to ac-
commodate the faith tradition of our residents unable to attend services in our Chapel.
The following are a few words of hope and encouragement for 2021...
The message of the love of God is that there is still hope, still time, still a God
that saves, still a prayer that is heard, still a Savior that redeems and that the
Holy Spirit guides. Because Jesus came, your life is not futile. Your failures are
not fatal, because His death was not final.

Blessings, Pastor Walter

CHRISM AWARD PRAYER SERVICE
The Opening Door
As we embark on a new calendar year, we share a poem with you to invite Christ himself
to cross the threshold of your home and bring in the New Year. As you open your door,
welcome Him in and ask His blessing, may you know His presence and your homes and
your hearts be warmed with His love, joy, peace and hope today and throughout 2021.
God bless you all from Rev. Arleen Champion, Fr. Dean Pinter and the parishioners of St.
Aidan Anglican Church, Moose Jaw.

will always be as close as a memory, and the God of all comfort will
always be as close as a prayer.
