The Very Hungry Caterpillar Show
Eric Carle’s well-known books captivated readers with his iconic
colourful hand-painted tissue paper collage illustrations and
distinctively simple stories, introducing generations of children to a
bigger, brighter world – and to their first experience of reading itself.
This timeless classic has made its way off the page and onto the stage.
Created by Jonathan Rockefeller, the critically acclaimed production of
The Very Hungry Caterpillar Show features a menagerie of 75 lovable
puppets, faithfully adapting four of Eric Carle’s stories, Brown Bear,
10 Little Rubber Ducks, The Very Lonely Firefly and of course, the star
of the show celebrating its 50th Birthday in 2019 The Very Hungry
Caterpillar.
Mae llyfrau adnabyddus Eric Carle wedi cyfareddu darllenwyr gyda’i
ddarluniau collage papur sidan lliwgar eiconig wedi’u paentio â llaw
a straeon syml hynod, gan gyflwyno cenedlaethau o blant i fyd mwy

Once again, Taliesin brings together performers from across the UK and
beyond, dancing alongside local dance groups, in a world-class dance
festival.
Traditional and contemporary, circus and parkour, this year’s programme
features a dazzling variety of dance. The festival also offers bookable
workshops for all ages, a touch tour for blind and visually impaired
people and a stay-and-play session for young people.

Duchess
In a remarkably short amount of time, Duchess has developed a major
reputation as a leading vocal trio. Inspired by vocal groups like the
Boswell Sisters and the Andrews Sisters, Duchess boasts tight vocal
harmonies that are both technically challenging and easy on the ears.
Rather than performing straight takes on the classics, their arrangements
are uniquely tailored for 21st century tastes. The New York-based
threesome comprise Amy Cervini, Hilary Gardner and Melissa Stylianou,
and are well known for their sense of humour and playfulness, so be
prepared to have a good time.

Duncan Chisholm
Duncan Chisholm effortlessly evokes a background steeped in the rich
highland music tradition through his rich, varied compositions. Having
been described as ‘one of the most authentic interpreters of traditional
highland music’, his fiddle playing takes you on an emotional journey
through the beautiful landscape which inspires him.
His lastest album, Sandwood, explores the specific area of Sandwood
Bay and chronicles his own personal journey through the Highlands to
this place of beauty, which became his muse.

The James Taylor Quartet
James Taylor, one of the great British instrumentalists of his generation,
has taken his trademark howling Hammond organ sound to the masses
for over 25 years; still famed for his upbeat, energetic live shows...
with no sign of slowing down. The band’s relentlessly entertaining
tunes take inspiration from the rare-groove style funk, and boogaloo
funk of the 60s and 70s. The band is, without a doubt, one of the most
important jazz-pop crossover outfits in British live musical history
today.
James Taylor has scored a film, been nominated for a MOBO award,
and has also featured on albums by Tom Jones, Manic Street Preachers,
The Pogues and U2.

Shane Shambhu
Confessions of a Cockney Temple Dancer
In this honest and humorous solo show, award-winning artist Shane
Shambhu combines Bharatanatyam dance and stand-up comedy to lead
audiences on a revealing journey of his life; from unlikely dance student
to ‘rude boy’ to international performer.
With his inimitable charm and wit, Shane reveals his past through a vivid
display of characters, lived experiences and comical stories, reflecting
on how race, language, identity and cultures have defined him and his
career.

This Final Edition Tour is part of RADC’s last season - they sadly cease
operations next April. RADC are determined to go out with colours
flying so have put together a celebration of the company’s unflagging
creativity- Voices and Light Footsteps is to the glorious music of
Monteverdi, sensuous and expressive. A Far Cry by Martin Lawrance is
to an impassioned piece of Elgar. Pieces to live music are: Mazur
(Chopin Mazurkas) and Brahms Hungarian (the hugely popular
Hungarian Dances).
