Welcome Back to Children's Storytime! Tuesdays and Wednesdays January 4/5, 11/12, 18/19, and 25/26 10:30-11 am All ages welcome Join us for our 8-week winter storytime session. We will have a traditional storytime program with stories and songs, followed by a simple craft. No registration needed. Art Cart: Wintery Craft Challenges Every Monday and Friday in January 2-5 pm All ages welcome Art Cart returns to the Children’s Department for the month of January! Every Monday and Friday from 2 to 5 pm, look for a new winter-themed art challenge. The Art Cart is a surprise assortment of craft supplies to test your creativity, critical thinking, imagination, and maker skills. No registration needed. Homework Helpers and Read to a Teen Volunteer Every Tuesday and Thursday starting January 18 4-6 pm For Elementary School students Does this school year have you looking for some after school homework help? Join us on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4-6 pm starting January 18. Library sta�, volunteer educators, and high school honor students will be available in the library program room for drop-in homework help. The program will last through the end of the school year, except for Spring Break. If your student needs some extra reading practice, we will also have teen volunteers ready to read, listen to and encourage young readers. If you are interested in this program, please email us at children@grapevinetexas.gov to help us estimate the number of students to expect. Read to a Furry Friend Saturday, January 15 2:30-3:30 pm All ages welcome Practice your skills and gain con�dence by reading to local therapy dogs. They are patient listeners!
TEENS Anime Club Tuesday, January 4 and 18 5:30-7 pm Ages 13-18 CALLING ALL TEEN ANIME FANS! Do you like anime? Do you like manga? Do you like a variety of snacks from all over the world? Would you like to be a part of a group who feels the same way as you? Then come attend the Grapevine Public Library's Anime Club! Maker Club S.T.E.A.M. Program for Teens Tuesday, January 11 and 25 5:30-7 pm Ages 13-18 Do you like arts, crafts, and DIY culture? How about tech, design, architecture, and engineering? We will do it all at Maker Club! Come join us! No registration required. ADULTS Knit and Crochet Circle: 6 week Series Every Monday in January January 3, 10, 17, 24, and 31 6-8 pm For teens and adults All levels of ability are welcome. No registration needed. If you have supplies, please bring them, but we will have some for in-class use. Donations of supplies are also welcome. Library Cafe for Adults Every Thursday in January January 6, 13, 20, and 27 10:15-11:45 am Ages 18+ All adults are invited to join us on Thursdays for mindful coloring, engaging puzzles, conversation, co�ee and snacks! No registration needed.

Join us at Grapevine Name Droppers on Monday, January 10 at 10:30 as Genealogy Librarian Nancy Maxwell discusses how to research those “rogue” relatives and locate their records. Entwined Minds Book Club Monday, January 10 1-3 pm Ages 18+ Come discuss Apples Never Fall by Liane Moriarty in the Library Board room. A favorite bestselling author, Moriarty always includes numerous twists and turns in her beloved books. Follow the Delaney family as they search for their missing mother and question the motives of a stranger who has come into their lives. Multiple copies are available to check out at the front desk. Express Yourself Writers Club Monday, January 10 7-8:30 pm Ages 18+ Have you recently taken up writing as a hobby or have you been writing for years? Enjoy journaling? Like writing poetry or short stories? Working on a novel, play or screenplay? Would you like a place to share what you've written or are currently writing? Let's meet to share and discuss what's on your paper and on your mind. Board Game Night Monday, January 17 6:30 pm Ages 18+ Join us for Game Night in the Library's Local History Room on the third Monday of every month for an evening of fun and games. Come play games with us, then be sure to check out a game to play at home.
ESPORTS ACADEMY Fortnite Duos Monday, January 17 5:30-7:30 pm Ages 12+ Drop in and practice your Fortnite duo strats with a friend. Solo players are welcome to sign up as well and will be paired with others looking ro a duo partner. Minecraft Spelunkers Club Monday, January 3 and 31 5:30-7:30 pm Ages 10+ Stop by the eSports Academy to jump into our Minecraft server and explore the new Caves and Cli�s update to Minecraft. No registration needed. Esports Academy: Free Play FAMILY OPEN PLAY Tuesday, January 11 6-8 pm All ages. Under 10 must have an adult Saturday, January 29 2-4 pm All ages. Under 10 must have an adult The Esports Academy gaming PCs and consoles will be open for free play. Bring your friends to try out our vast library. ADULT OPEN PLAY Tuesday, January 18 2-4 pm For adults ages 17+ Open play and practice time on the Esports Academy gaming PCs and consoles. FREE PLAY SUNDAYS Sunday, January 9 and 23 2:30-5:30 pm Ages 10+ The Esports Academy gaming PCs and consoles will be open for free play. Bring your friends to try out our vast library.
