 The Silkwood Way utilises the 'Bring Your Own Device' (BYOD)
 Program to support our personalised student learning plans.

 This program provides a meaningful engagement with technology to
 ensure our students develop Information and Communication
 Technology (ICT) capabilities that increase their capacity to work
 collaboratively and to connect with the real world.

 ICT AGREEMENT
 Students and carers must agree to use digital technologies and the internet in a
 safe, ethical and responsible way. The ICT Agreement is available under the
 Documents section of the Home Page on the Parent Portal.

HIGH PERFORMANCE DEVICE SPECIFICATIONS
Students interested in media, graphics, film or programming will require a minimum 8GB RAM, Intel Core i7 processor
(or equivalent) and 250GB SSD storage.

WHAT TO DO NOW?
The Student ICT Guidelines are available to read under the Documents section of the Home Page on the Parent Portal.

Students entering Year 4 and Year 5 in 2021 are required to bring their device to the ICT Office for BYOD setup prior
to the beginning of Term 1, 2021. Dates are to be advised.

Before attending the BYOD Setup Day, the computer must be fully charged and already have been opened and had its
initial system setup completed. Students need to come with a password in mind for Silkwood ICT systems. Passwords
must be at least 7 characters long, have at least 1 uppercase letter, lowercase letters, a number or special character,
and not include their first or last name.
