View this email in your browser A note from the Director - Spring is just around the corner! In fact the first day of spring is March 19! I think we are all ready for a little bit of warmer weather! I'm from Michigan originally so I like the snow, but it has certainly made consistency a challenge this year. Yet, despite the snow days, I was thrilled to see all the evaluations and read about all the growth that has taken place so far this year. And as I watched the kiddos at school this week, I was so thankful to see them singing, laughing, dancing, and learning. I am so thankful that we have been able to do this year face to face as much as possible. There is so much learning that happens in community. I am looking forward to the spring and all the fun and exciting things on our calendar. Though I am waiting to make some decisions as to how we can do our Breakfast and Bible and our end of the year programs safely, know that we are working to make them as normal as possible during this season. Thanks for your partnership this year and for sharing your adorable children with us! Pam French, Director
We will be celebrating Dr. Seuss’ birthday on Mon.
and Tues, March 1 and 2 by reading books, doing a
special craft, and having green eggs and ham. If
your child would like to wear red and white or dress
as a Dr. Seuss character, that would be fun!
March 24 & 25
We are inviting our Preschool and Pre-K students to join us for Lunch Bunch on
Wednesday, March 24, or Thursday, March 25. Forms will be handed out on Monday and
Tuesday, March 8 and 9, and are due back by Friday, March 19th
SPECIAL ART LUNCH BUNCH
Come join us for an ADDITIONAL and special Art Lunch Bunch on Wed. & Thurs,
April 7 & 8.
[Registration forms will be put in your child’s folder mid-March. Firm registration
deadline is Tuesday, April 6.
After our students eat lunch that day, our resident artist, Mrs. Musser will teach a
basic art lesson and work with the children on a painting project. Each child will
bring home their original artwork on a canvas. The fee for this special lunch
bunch and painting will be $20 per student.
COOKING CLASS Pre-K Only
March 3 & 10 or 4 & 11
Even young children can help in the kitchen and learn culinary skills. Join us for two
fun and engaging cooking classes in March with hands-on experience in the kitchen.
We will learn skills such as measuring, rolling, kitchen hygiene and safety and using
a recipe. Each week your child will participate in making the main dish as well as a
dessert. The best part of all is that they will get the joy of eating their creations! We
will provide other snacks as well so there is NO NEED TO PACK A LUNCH!

EASTER CELEBRATIONS
BRUNCH & BIBLE
Tuesday & Wednesday, March 30 & 31
Though this year will look a little different than in years past, we would like to invite you to join us on
March 30 & 31st for a short Bible program. Please bring your children at the regular time that morning.
We will have a fun morning with a special snack and craft along with our Educational Egg Hutn. We invite
you to join us later for a short program. We will then have brunch for you to take as you leave. More
details and information will be coming shortly.
EDUCATIONAL EGG HUNT
On March 30 & 31, we will also be doing our Educational egg hunt. Each child will hunt for an egg with a
letter, a color, a shape, and a number. After they describe the symbols on their eggs, they will get to open
their eggs and put the candy in their bags.
This is not a party day with parents but will be part of our regular school day curriculum.
Children will bring their bag with candy home with them.
SCHOLASTIC BOOK ORDERS
REMINDER: All book orders (online or paper orders with cash/checks) are due by
Tuesday, March 2. If you would like to order any books, please return the form with
cash or a check payable to MOUNTAINSIDE PRESCHOOL or order online using
Code #DY4TL.
ONLINE VIRTUAL CLASSROOM
If your child has not had a chance to play around in our virtual classroom, you'll want
to make sure they check it out. They can find books, games, activities, and videos.
They can also watch the Bible lesson that is recorded on Mondays and
Wednesdays. We ask that you not share this link with anyone outside our school.
You may view the link on a computer, laptop, or Chromebook but not on a phone or
tablet. If you have any trouble or problems, let me know! ENJOY!
