out yet. The brief for this project was to push the boundaries

of what a co-working space could be. In order to do this, the
design team drew influence from the hospitality industry, in
particular the design of boutique hotels. The project was as
such an opportunity for KLD to express strong creativity and
create a multitude of environments within one building.
The KLD design team worked closely with Iconic Offices and
contractors NSBS to achieve a design that was both inspiring
and visually strong, as well as completely functionally and
technically sound. One of the main challenges of this design
was the push to create a space where nothing is
compromised. This was especially important given that the
project had a very tight time-frame for completion.
As an award-winning Irish interior architecture, interior
design and graphic design company, KLD has worked on an
exciting array of projects across Ireland, the UK and Europe.
A firm believer in the power of creative collaboration, Roisin
founded the company in 2009 along with Susanna Kingston
– a year before they both graduated from Kingston University
in London. Susanna left three years later to pursue other
interests.
Given the difficult economic climate that prevailed back then,
Roisin needed a clear vision, coupled with a lot of
determination and hard work, to get to where she is today.
From a young age, artistic flair has been her talent. All she
ever wanted to do was work in design, and when the time
came to study in her chosen field she excelled: achieving first
class honours in Interior Architecture and Furniture Design
from DIT. She went on to do a Masters in Product & Spatial
Design in Kingston University where she was also awarded
first class honours and presented her final project as part of
renowned design exhibition, Tent, London.
