Education Conference 28 March 2018

North Yorkshire is holding an education conference in Harrogate on March 28 with Headteachers,
nationally known key note speakers and a wide range of workshops. Please book senior leaders and
early to avoid disappointment as this event is being promoted beyond North school governors
Yorkshire.
All school leaders need to try and make space for visioning and reflecting. This Conference Flyer
conference has been priced to enable heads, school leaders and governors to Available Here

speakers who are nationally known and workshops on a variety of themes.

Youth Voice Conference - Friday 16th March 2018

The key note speaker is Lemn Sissay MBE - He has been a writer from birth and Representatives
foremost he is a poet. He was the first Black Writers Development Worker in the North in North
of England. He created and established Cultureword (part of Commonword) where Yorkshire
Sissay developed supported and published many new writers who’ve gone on to a life
of creativity. Sissay received an MBE from The Queen for services to literature and an
honorary doctorate from University of Huddersfield who run The Sissay Scholarship
for care leavers: It is the first of its kind in the UK.
