• You will be continuing to develop this with supportive activities, so you only need a starting point.

• Does NOT need to be submitted in advance but you will need to be able to share your document

You may find it helpful for your own development / note making to have 1-2 printed copies available
(You will be able to access university printers on the first day of term if you prefer to use them, but the
print quality is not important at this stage as long as it is readable to you)
Element 2: Professionalism Preparation / follow on

YOUR WORK WILL FORM A BASIS FOR EXERSIZES LEADING TOWARDS A SUMMATIVE ASSESSMENT

You will participate in a series of further activities designed to support your personal and professional
development. Some will be individual and others working in groups of varying sizes. This will include a
(Virtual) Assessment Centre day, run by an external company on Weds 21st October 2020.
Save the date – you will need to be available to participate in the live event all day.

This will culminate in a summative individual assessment within your Fashion Industry unit, which will ask
you to reflect* upon the activities and experiences that have been developed to support you. You will also
consider other impactful personal and professional experiences to date, beyond the course.

IF YOU DO NOT or INCORRECTLY SUBMIT THIS ELEMENT YOU MAY DISADVANTAGE YOURSELF AT
THE START OF THE UNIT. YOU WILL NEED TO COMPLETE THIS WORK TO UNDERTAKE THE PLANNED
ACTIVTIES, IF NOT IN ADVANCE, THEN AT THE TIME ALONGSIDE ADDITIONAL TASKS.

*You have already completed some self-reflection in the L4 evaluations we asked you to submit with
practice units. You will be expanding on this further into L5. If you wish to get ahead, you can familiarise
yourself with some reflective models / theories. Google image search is a sufficient entry:
• Gibbs reflective cycle
• Borton reflective framework
