chopped sweet onions cheese, cut into cubes

a 3- to 4-quart slow cooker coated with cooking spray.
Cover and cook on LOW until onions are golden and

chives; cook, covered, on LOW until melted, stirring

Chefs Keith and Nealy Frentz, owners of LOLA restaurant in
Covington, La., let the good times roll with this cake decorated in
time-honored Mardi Gras colors of purple, green and gold.
Preheat oven to 350°F. Mix 1 (18.25-oz) box yellow cake mix, 1
large egg, 1 tsp cinnamon and 1 stick melted salted butter in a
large mixing bowl. Press the crumbly mixture on the bottom and
up the sides of an 8-inch round pan coated with cooking spray. To
make the filling, beat 1 stick melted salted butter, 8 oz softened
cream cheese, 2 large eggs, 2 tsp vanilla extract, 1 tsp cinnamon,
1 Tbsp bourbon and 1 lb powdered sugar in a large bowl with an
electric mixer until smooth. Spread the filling over crumb mixture.
Bake until golden brown and firm, 45 minutes to 1 hour. Cool 30
minutes; remove from pan. Insert plastic baby into cake by press-
