Members’ Magazine, produced exclusively
for members of the Scottish Fair Trade Forum.
In this magazine, we will update you on some of
the things we’ve been doing and our plans for
future activities. We hope that you enjoy finding out
information too. The Forum can only do the work
we do because of you, our members. It’s very
important for us to hear from you. If you have
more about our new Board members, our recent ideas for content you would like us to cover

Ghana tariffs campaign

Trade projects our

Perth & Kinross Fairtrade Group received £188 for
their project Fairtrade Rugby Balls for Schools
W ith the £188 grant, Perth & Kinross Fairtrade
Group bought 13 Bala Sport rugby balls
and two mini rugby balls. The first rugby ball was
gifted to Robert Douglas Memorial School in Perth
after a member of the group spoke to the school
over zoom during Fairtrade Fortnight using a mini
rugby ball as one of the visual aids. The Perth and
Kinross group plans to do this again in the future
to encourage more schools who are working to
become Fairtrade Schools.

The Emporium of Worldly Goods was granted £188 for
their project Fair Trade Christmas Raffle Fundraiser
T he funds were used to boost social
media posts to reach different targeted
demographics, including those who may not
already buy Fair Trade. The Emporium of
Worldly Goods posted a series of social media
posts about the contents of the raffle prize to
raise awareness of the variety and quality of
Fair Trade products available. The series of paid
ads over two weeks reached 7,735 people and
the additional product posts about Fair Trade
products reached 4,000 people. £315 was raised
and really kindly donated to the Scottish Fair
Trade Forum. The lucky winner won this beautiful
prize of Fair Trade products. Sasha McKinlay
