Introduction
The Sardinia Radio Telescope (SRT) is a major radio astronomical facility
located near San Basilio (Cagliari) for:

 radio astronomy
 geodynamical studies
 space science

SRT is a collaboration among:

 Istituto Radio Astronomia (Bologna)
 Cagliari Observatory (Cagliari)
 Arcetri Astrophysical Observatory (Florence)
UNIMI-OAC Collaboration Contract
Three main workpackages:

Object
Carrying out of an RF anechoic chamber dedicated to scientific research
and SEMs enterprises.

RF Anechoic Chamber
Room designed to completely absorb electromagnetic waves in order to
simulate a quiet open-space of infinite dimension.

Requirements
  Ability to test antenna radiation patterns and antenna sub-systems
  Frequency operative range: 10 GHz – 150 GHz
  Possibility to extend the operative range to frequencies > 150 GHz
(compliance to future demands of TC market, enterprises and scientific
research)

Small and Medium Enterprises
In Europe, there are three broad parameters which define SMEs:

 micro-entities (companies with up to 10 employees)
 small companies (up to 50 workers)
 medium-sized enterprises (up to 250 employees)

Moreover the annual turnover is not exceeding 50 million euro, and/or an annual
balance sheet total not exceeding 43 million euro.
