veterans in their transition from the military to the civilian workforce.

ACP focuses on mentoring, career counseling, and professional
networking and currently supports more than 3,500 mentorships for
veterans and active-duty military spouses.

Program Eligibility Requirements
ACP welcomes applications from service members, veterans and
spouses who meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • Active duty service members (including members of the Reserve
    and National Guard).

  • Veterans of the armed forces that have served at least 180 days on
    active duty orders since September 11, 2001.

  • Surviving spouses and spouses of severely wounded post-9/11
    veterans.

  • Service members who served less than 180 days of active duty
    since 9/11, but who were injured while serving or training

  • The spouses of active duty service members

• A SUPERB opportunity for those wanting to have an impact AND able

NJROTC: What is it?
• Citizenship Development Program
   • Improve graduation rate
   • Not a recruiting service but advantages/opportunities to students who serve
      • Advance pay grade for those that Enlist
      • Service Academy nomination ability and ROTC scholarships for those choosing college
• Navy Provides to School Districts
   • Half of instructor minimum pay
   • Student uniforms, Curriculum, Equipment, etc
• Federal funding and inventory accountability
• Uniform and grooming standards required
NJROTC: What is it? cont.
• It is a school course (usually an elective class) that has Navy provided curriculum for each of 4
  years

    •   NS4-Leadership
• Competition Team Opportunities (local, region and national events)
    • Drill (Color Guard, Armed and Unarmed IDR and Exhibition
