The Peninsula Hot Springs Ride for Relief track navigates some of the most picturesque yet
challenging terrain on the Mornington Peninsula in Victoria. The team will spend 2 nights at the
luxurious RACV Cape Schanck Resort to ensure they are well rested for each day’s ride.
The daily highlight will be a visit to the award-winning, tranquil Peninsula Hot Springs. Following the ride on
Saturday, participants will be treated to a delicious lunch at Peninsula Hot Springs before enjoying a relaxing
1hr massage from the skilled massage therapy team, along with the opportunity to soak in the mineral hot
springs to help the muscles recover from a big day on the bike.
The tour will conclude on Sunday after a morning ride and another visit to Peninsula Hot Springs for lunch
and another soak in the hot springs. What a way to finish an amazing weekend of cycling and relaxation!
Day 1 – 103km Day 2 – 102km

Friday, 23rd March Stage 1
To ensure you are ready for the challenge ahead, you will arrive at the
103kms + 851m
RACV Cape Schanck Resort.
Saturday, 24th March
A rider briefing will take place detailing the first stage route, rider
etiquette and support crew. This will be followed by our first team dinner
at the resort. Then it’s off to get a good night’s sleep to awaken the next Following a full buffet breakfast we will depart the RACV Cape Schanck

After morning tea, we will tackle the challenging climb up the famous
Arthurs Seat, a 3km climb with an average gradient of 8%, but the views
from the top will be worth the effort!
The long descent down the other side of the peninsula will provide the
legs with a rest before the second climb of the day.
We will arrive at Peninsula Hot Springs in time to enjoy an amazing lunch
before you are treated to a 1hr massage and the opportunity to enjoy
soaking your tired muscles in the therapeutic mineral hot springs.
You will then be transported back to the RACV Cape Schanck Resort
where we will enjoy another team dinner.
Stage 2
100kms + 1,166m
Sunday, 25th March
Even after yesterday’s test, the massage and hot springs soak will ensure
your body is as ready as ever to take on the second day.
There are two main climbs in the morning as we ride up to Red Hill
before we descend to Crib Point for morning tea. We then head back
towards the finish line with one final major climb ahead, back
towards Red Hill.
The descent towards Peninsula Hot Springs will be a welcome relief to
tired legs. We will arrive at the finish line after another amazing day of
riding through the beautiful Mornington Peninsula and Peninsula Hot
Springs provides the perfect opportunity for your friends and family to
welcome you home!
Lunch will be provided for the team and you’ll once again have the
opportunity to soak in the hot pools before departing Peninsula Hot
Springs after completing this amazing event and helping raise
much-needed funds for Mentis Assist.Meals Support crew
Breakfast and evening meals will be provided at Support when riding each stage includes a

Rider training
You will be provided with a training program to help you
to prepare for the event.
Our Ride Director, Bade Stapleton from Connect Sport
Australia, will also be available to provide further advice
on your training and preparation for the event.
Each rider will be expected to arrive fit and ready to ride
consistently and confidently at 28 - 35kph in a bunch.
To ensure the safety of all our team there will be no
sustained pushing of riders. If you are unable to keep
up with the team you may need to take a break in the
support vehicle.
