Overnight Tours - Hunter Valley Christmas Lights We had an overwhelming response to our invitation for expressions of interest to visit Floriade and every indication is that an ongoing program of ‘overnight’ trips would be very well received. With the current Covid restrictions, we cannot be sure that anything we plan will not have to be cancelled; but ever the optimists we have tentatively scheduled a few exciting itineraries over the next few months. In October, we hope to be running a second trip to Floriade in Canberra. Then through November and December we are planning several departures to the Hunter Valley Gardens for the Christmas Lights Spectacular. This would be a two day/one night trip taking in the Hunter Valley Gardens during daylight and then returning after dark for the light display. On the second day, the plan is to visit Nelson Bay and spend a couple of hours on a dolphin watching cruise. If you like more information about the Hunter Valley Gardens Christmas Lights trip, contact Nigel on (02) 4722 3083 and he will send you an information sheet as soon as it is available. Into the New Year, we are planning overnight trips to places such as Parkes, Cockington Green, Jenolan Caves/Mayfield Gardens and other exciting events and locations. We are also commencing an ongoing program of ‘premium’ day trips. These will be all inclusive events (i.e. one price will cover morning tea, lunch, admissions etc.) and will be available to anyone over 55 in the community.
