The Wildlife Trusts' Shoresearch is a volunteer-based coastal
recording project, identifying and recording animals, plants,
and habitats across shores of the UK.
In the North West, we undertake surveys across the shores
of Cumbria, Lancashire, Merseyside and Cheshire. The aim
of the project is to increase our knowledge and data on
intertidal wildlife around our coast, and to help promote its
conservation.

Thursday 6 April 2.00pm - 4.00pm

Come and join us on our mission to hunt out tiny nurdles
of plastic on the beach. According to recent studies, billions
--TV . y- of tiny plastic pellets, known as 'nurdles', are lost into the
UK environment each year. These can significantly harm
marine wildlife once they make it into the sea. We aim to
collect vital evidence to add to existing data on the extent
of the environmental impacts of all sources of marine
plastic pollution.
