TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF WORIMI CONSERVATION LANDS AND SAMURAI
Stockton Beach in the Worimi Conservation Lands and Samurai are temporarily CLOSED to all vehicles, due
to the current weather conditions. Large swell combined with high tides has made the beaches unsafe and
impassable for vehicles at this time. Park closure signs have been installed at the 4WD beach entrances of
WCL and Samurai, staff will continue to monitor conditions over the closure period. We advised to check the
Worimi Conservation Lands and the National Parks web pages for updated information. Worimi Conservation
Lands and Samurai will reopen as soon as conditions allow. Penalties apply for non-compliance.
If you require further information please contact the Nelson Bay office during business hours Monday to Friday
8.30am to 4.30pm.

Catch Reporting Tips
Coming into mullet hauling season, remember that only one member of the hauling crew, the net endorsement
holder, reports the entire catch and disposal of the catch.
Other fishers involved do not report any part of the catch, even if they are paid for a share of the catch.
Remember too, that if you receive fish as payment, that records of sale and the fish receiver requirements
need to be satisfied.
These legal requirements avoid duplication and/or partial reporting of the catch, avoid inconsistencies
between reported catch and records of sale, and accurate reporting assists with exportation to the European
Community.
If you have any questions about Catch & Effort records, Quota reporting, records of sale/possession,
European Community Catch Certificates or registered fish receivers please do not hesitate to contact the
Catch Records team on 1800 994 850 or catch.records@dpi.nsw.gov.au
