Dressage with Jumping Sat 12 December
Ride a dressage test and a jumping round (separately scheduled). Jumping round will be run as an accumulator (article
269) and this score will be added to your dressage score. In the case of a tie, the winner will be the person with the fastest
time in the jumping. These classes are run separately from the respective dressage and jumping classes and may be
scheduled at a different time. All classes are ungraded and introductory classes.

Dressage Champion
Points for placings will be awarded across all Dressage classes. A rug will be awarded to the combination with the highest points after
the final class on Sunday. You must be present to collect the rug. This doesn’t include Dressage with Jumping classes.
Show Jumping Champion
Points for placings will be awarded across all Show Jumping classes. A rug will be awarded to the combinatin with the highest points
after the final class on Sunday. You must be present to collect the rug. This doesn’t include Dressage with Jumping classes.
Show Hunter Champion

Stabling
Open Yard Permanent wooden yards allocated on a ‘first in first served” basis. $20
Paddock Minimum 3 horses per paddock, allocated as received. If sharing both parties

Covered Yard/Stables Allocated on a first in basis, on payment date $50
PurePine Shavings $18 per bale
Hay Orders prior to show but can be delivered in parts daily. Limited available to
$18 per bale
purchase at the show.
Camping

Terms and Conditions
Entries:
ONLINE ENTRIES: www.equestrianentries.co.nz.
ENTRIES OPEN: Monday 23rd November
CLOSE OF ENTRIES: Monday 7th December 2020
PAYMENT: Payment must be made at time of entry via Poli (internet banking) or Stripe (credit card) or entry will not confirm.
Payments made via Stripe will have a 3.2% fee added.
LATE ENTRIES: Entries made after 7th December will incur a late fee of 50% of the class entry fees.
CLASS CHANGES: Class change fees after 7th December will be refund less 25% in entered class and entry fee on new class. No
class changes or late entries after 6pm the night before.
SCRATCHINGS: Refunds of 25% of entry fees for scratchings received before 7th December 2020. Other fees refunded in full
unless stated as non-refundable. Scratchings after 7/12/2020 but before 17/12/2020 will be refunded less 50%
of entry fees. Other fees refunded in full unless stated as non-refundable. No refunds for scratchings at the
show without a vet or medical certificate and then at the discretion of the Organising Committee.
REFUNDS: Refunds will be paid electronically following the completion of the show, to the bank account nominated in
your Equestrian Entries account. Refunds of less than $10 will not be paid.
PRIZE MONEY: All advertised prize money will be paid and if required (SJ only) additional prize money will be paid on a 1:7 ratio
of starters. Prize money will be paid electronically to the person who made the entry.
Conditions:
All riders and ponies must compete with the appropriate ESNZ membership
All classes are run under ESNZ rules.
Formal attire in all competition rings All rings will run in draw order, and you must ride at your allocated slot.
All fees and prize money are inclusive of GST.
Any queries involving refunds or prizemoney payments will not be considered after 30th January 2021.
The Organising Committee reserves the right to alter the programme and prize money. Riders will be advised about any changes via email
so please ensure your contact details are up to date. Entries may be limited in some classes and places will be offered on a first paid basis.
Those not accepted into a class will be eligible for a full refund of entry fees for that class.
Parents are responsible for children under the age of 18 at all times.
All competitors enter at their own risk and abide by the Health & Safety Act and the National Equestrian Centres Health and Safety
Policy.

All yarding will be allocated on a ‘first in first served’ basis. Only horses entered in the show allowed on the grounds.
Additional bags of PurePine Shavings may be purchased if desired. These may be pre-ordered, limited quantity available for purchase
at the show. Horses are not to be left unattended at the National Equestrian Centre.

Camping fee is per truck/caravan/float. Please add registration number to your Equestrian Entries account.
Dogs
Dogs are welcome at the NEC but must be on a leash at all times, 24 hours per day. This applies to all parts of the property, including
the XC course and hacking areas.Dogs are not allowed in any building. Owners are required to pick up any droppings and dispose of
them in the skip bins. Failure to comply will result in the dog having to be removed from the grounds.

The ESNZ drug and alcohol policy will be enforced at this show. Underage drinking and the use of illegal drups will not be tolerated at the
National Equestrian Centre Taupo. Security may be patrolling the site, including the truck park, and may check ID’s. People under the age
of 18 must be under adult supervision.

Health and Safety Policy
The Taupo Christmas Classic and the National Equestrian Centre is committed to
providing and maintaining a safe and healthy event for all staff, and to providing
the information, training and supervision needed to achieve this.
We will take all practicable steps by;
• Providing a safe event, safe equipment and proper materials
• Identifying and monitoring hazards and using the hazard management
hierarchy of eliminate, isolate or minimise.
• Insist upon establishment of safe methods and best practices
• Comply with all H&S legislation, regulations and codes of practice
We will take responsibility for health and safety procedures, however, ALL
PEOPLE ON THIS SITE need to be aware of their responsibilities and comply
with the event’s health and safety policy.
COMPETITORS will be responsible for themselves at ALL times by observing
safe practices and rules/instructions relating to their competition.
Every person involved in the Taupo Christmas Classic is encouraged to play a
vital and responsible role in maintaining a safe and healthy event through:
• Being involved in the event health and safety system.
• Following correct procedures.
• Safe and proper use of equipment.
• Keeping horses under proper supervision or suitably yarded at all times
• Wearing protective clothing and equipment as and when required.
• Reporting any pain or discomfort as soon as possible.
• Ensuring all accidents and incidents are reported.
• Help new employees, trainees and visitors to understand the right safety
procedures and why they exist.
• Informing the office immediately of any health and safety concerns.
• Keeping the event facilities tidy to minimise the risk of any trips and falls.
