Panel: Diversity — Reflections on governance
Steady progress is being made on diversity to reflect the rich tapestry of Australian society in our
workforce. Diversity in gender, culture, race, skill, experience and background all add to the depth
and breadth of thinking, skill and innovation. However, progress has been slower in relation when
it comes to executive leadership and boardrooms which are still dominated by older, white males
from a narrow population and professional subgroup. This session will explore the experiences and
insights of this panel and consider how organisations across sectors can harness the energy of
different perspectives to inform and enrich organisational culture and the principles, practices and
processes of ‘good governance’.
