PRE-RACE DETAILS
Please follow the Pre-Race directions to ensure smooth registration process during the race day.
1. Before the race, make sure that you have made correct payment and that you have received confirmation email.
2. Visit event web page with all the necessary details Spartan WINTER SPRINT Slovensky Raj.
3. At the bottom of the page, there is a part “Important Info“. You can find there documents, that should be downloaded. Please download and print the Spartan Race Waiver.
4. Assigned Bib numbers will be posted on the event page latest on Wednesday 20.02.2019.
5. Look at Start list WINTER SPRINT in order to find your Bib number. Names are in alphabetical order. Here you can find your bib number and start time. Attention!
The same names are highlighted in yellow.
6. Fill up the waiver sign it and bring the document to the registration on the race day together with you ID card. EVERY RACER MUST sign WAIVER and show valid ID card. If you forget
WAIVER, you can get 1 at registration for 30 BURPEES.
7. You must know all the rules regarding the race and obstacles, it is mandatory.
REGISTRATION AT RACE DAY
Registration opens at 6:30 and closes at 13:30.
You can find registration tent nearby main entrance to festival area. Please come to registration at least 1 and half hour before start of your heat.
Race day registration is also possible in the case we are not sold out. It costs for SPRINT 75 Euros.
Substitution or any possible change in your registration will be possible at race day for fee of 10 Euros.
Online registration can be changed until Tuesday midnight 19th of February 2019, for the service fee of 5 Euros.
1. START LIST: With BIB number, signed waiver and ID card in your hand you can proceed to registrations. If you do not know your registration number, you will find it on the BIB wall
near the registration area.
2. REGISTRATION TENT: Find the registration lane with number sequence that matches your BIB number.
3. WAIVER AND ID CARD: Participants will hand race waiver to our volunteers in the registration tents. ID and waivers will be checked to verify identity before starting pack is received.
NO WAIVER, NO RACING – NO EXCEPTIONS.
4. STARTING PACK: You will receive in starting pack: headband with BIB number, bracelet with timing chip, colored wristband for your t-shirt and medal.
5. CHECK POINT: After picking up of starting pack you will enter a festival area through the check point, where you check the functionality of your chip on a small screen.
6. BRACELETS: After successful checking of your timing chip, place it immediately around your wrist. Don’t forget to place your headband with BIB number. Colored wristband for your t-
shirt and medal put on your second wrist. You will not need a DRINK bracelet, because in finish line you will immediately receive a tea.
7. MARKING STATION: Our volunteers will mark your BIB number at your body at marking station. This marking is not mandatory.
8. BAG CHECK: You can check your bags safely at a tent marked as a BAGCHECK. Bag check will be opened from 6:30 AM to 3:30 PM. Your bag will be tagged with you BIB number. Bag
check is for free. The organizer is not responsible for the loss and damage of the stored items. Each racer can place a luggage
with a maximum size of 35 cm x 50 cm. We reserve the right not to accept any luggage bigger than the given size. Thank you for
understanding.
9. WARM UP: We strongly recommend good warm up before the race and we gladly help you with it before the start of each heat.

Starting from 8:00 AM, t h e r e w i l l b e h e a t s o f 2 0 0 - 2 5 0 r a c e r s re l e a s e d e v e r y 15 – 30 minutes. You must start in your designated heat time, otherwise we cannot ensure
that your time will be measured properly. If you don’t start in your heat time you will be disqualified. Therefore, please be in the starting corral on time!
You should know your designated start time at least one day prior to race-day.
If you don’t know your start time, you can find it in your profile on our official web page or at the BIB Number Tent, which will be located near the entrance to the festival area. If
you have any problems with your registration, please come to the “Information” Tent and we’ll help you to resolve it.
Racers that will start at different time then they were registered, timing company will not be able to record their correct time and they will be disqualified.
Every racer must have a headband with BIB number, otherwise he/she will not be allowed to enter start line and will be disqualified. Every racer must have a visible BIB number during
the whole race, otherwise he/she can be disqualified.
COURSE DISCRIPTION
Spartan WINTER Sprint Slovensky Raj is a course of minimum 5 km with at least 20 natural and manmade obstacles.
Blue tape and tables with red arrows will be used to mark the course. Also, volunteers and course marshals will show you the corre ct direction, if you are not sure.
Please be respectful to the nature.
The race takes place in the Slovensky Raj/Slovak Paradise - National Park. Let's take care of nature, it's forbidden to throw trash off the course!
If you fail obstacle, you will have to do 30 Burpees – there is no difference between man/woman. If you fail to do correct number of burpees, you will be disqualified. Elite heat will
not be corrected, our referees will write down the racer number and in the finish line racer receives penalty time or will be disqualified. If racer does not follow referees command,
the racer can be disqualified. All racers must get familiar with the rules and obstacle manual.

RECOMMENDED EQUIPMENT
Camel bag for 1 liter of water, whistle, salt, magnesia, plaster, another pair of shoes and spare clothing. The equipment depends on the weather and performance of the racer.
ATTENTION!
Using of running shoes with metal/plastic or other material spikes. Also any kind of aid tool installed on shoes called – „snow traction aid“ or „anti slippery aid“. Such shoes and aids are
forbidden for winter and same as for summer races from safety reason. Runners who will use such forbidden shoes will be disqualified.
BEVERAGE STATIONS
On the course of SPRINT, there will be 1 beverage station, with hot natural iont drink – coconut water/flavored coconut water, from our partner Edgar. And then 1 beverage station with hot
tea will be in the finish line.
We recommend racers to take their own drinks as well. No glass bottle is allowed on the course. Do not throw any garbage on the course except beverage stations – racers who will not obey
this rule will be disqualified.
TIMING CHIP
You will receive a Chip Timer ($40 value) and wrist strap to record your time and results.
Chip timer must be fastened around wrist to record your finish time properly.
Drop Chip Timer and wrist strap into buckets at either side of the Finish Line.
In case you lost your chip, tell it immediately to timing company at finish line, to track your time manually.
Racers that finish without chip, bib number, wrist tapes will not receive any medal or t-shirt.
Finisher Times will be displayed at the 5-line Timing Display near the Finish Line. All unofficial results will be displayed also
immediately at the Results Tent. When race will be over, all results will be uploaded on Online System Timing company web
page http://www.onlinesystem.cz.
AWARD CEREMONY WINTER SPRINT
Elite Heat of SPRINT at 11:30, stage

All winners in Age Group heat must have their ID check before entering the stage. Without ID check winners will not be allowed to enter s tage for award ceremony.
Spartan JUNIORS (11 - 14 years old) at 14:20, stage
Only racers registered as „individual“ can compete in category „individuals“. Those of you who wants to compete in this category cannot be registered in team. In other words, it is
not possible to win as individual and run for team. The results are not possible to change from team to individuals.
WINNERS WHO WILL NOT ATTEND THE AWARD CEREMONY WILL NOT RECEIVE ANY PRIZES. PRIZES WILL NOT BE SEND BY MAIL. ALL WINNERS MUST WEAR SPARTAN FINISHER TSHIRT
FOR THE CEREMONY IN ORDER TO RECEIVE THE PRIZES. IF ANY WINNER DOES NOT WEAR THE FINISHER TSHIRT, THE WINNER RECEIVE THROPHY AND FREE TICKET ONLY.
PROTESTS
Unofficial results will be displayed throughout the race day on the screen in the tent marked RESULTS.
Protest regarding results of ELITE HEAT are submitted to Race Director no later than 1 hour before the official award ceremony.
The fee for the official protest is 30 euros. In case of a legitimate objection, the fee will be refunded. You can find the exact protest procedure in the general competition rules, here.

Photos from the event will be available on our website under "Photos" section and on our FB page. Photos are for free and will be online
within 3 days after the event. On some obstacles there will be our photographers connected to automatic collection system for images
with automatic identification. The system provides each competitor at least one photo. The main condition for athletes is to pass through
the measuring mat that is installed either before the obstacle, or just behind it. Attention! Writing the BIB number on the body will not
give you guarantee that you will get picture from the event.
Within 3 days we will place all pictures from the course photographers (timing mats) on the web and FB page. Official videos can be found on
our YouTube channel within 24 hours. after the race.
SPARTAN KIDS – START
All start times for Spartan Kids race are listed in the section Event Schedule.
The registration for the Spartan Kids will be opened also on the race day, in the tent marked KIDS REGISTRATION. Children can register until 11:30 and only with parents. Parent must
sign waiver. Registration costs at the race day 20 Euros. Payments can only be made in cash. All children who finish the race will receive medals and Spartan T-shirts. We do not
announce winners in all kids’ categories, only in category for age of 11-14, 3 boys and 3 girls.

CAMPING
There will be no camping area.
PARKING
The main parking areas are located 5-10 minutes of walking. Please respect the instructions of the organizing service on the parking areas and try to park your vehicles as close to each other
as possible to accommodate all visitors.
Parking is for free on this race.
Do not travel by yourself in the car, use carpooling – safe the nature.
Do not leave any things that could be stolen from the car, we are not responsible for any theft or damage on the parking lots.
VISITORS
Visitors have free entrance to the event.
Visitors can bring their cameras but must be careful when taking pictures not to harm other participants of the event.
Visitors are not allowed to enter the course and other places dedicated for racers. Food and beverages will be available in local restaurants nearby festival are a.
EQUIPMENT & CLOTHING
We encourage all participants to take extra clothes, shoes and plastic bags for wet clothes.
BAGCHECK
To store your personal belongings, there will be available a bag check, where you can store all your personal items at no charge. The organizer is not responsible for the loss and
damage of the stored items. Each racer can place a luggage with a maximum size of 35 cm x 50 cm. We reserve the right not to accept any luggage bigger than the given size.
FOOD & BEVERAGES
At the refreshment station you can enjoy a natural iont drink, coconut water/flavored coconut water, from our partner Edgar.
Food and beverages for visitors will be available in the restaurants in festival area, (retarurants Ranč Podlesok, Rumanka, Café and buffet u orla, catering near heated tent).
Organizers ask all visitors of this sport event for responsible alcohol use.
SPARTAN SHOP
PARTNER PARTNER of SPARTAN KIDS EXPOSpartan shop will be selling different spartan products to memorize this great day. TOILETS There will be mobile toilets near the festival area. Changing tents will be in festival area for both sexes separately. OTHER INFORMATIONS Free walking of dogs is forbidden. Camping in the festival area is forbidden. For camping there is designated area. Please do not call the owners of venue regarding the race information. Our website is the best source of accurate and up-to-date information. INCLEMENT WEATHER In the case of very bad weather or other natural disasters or for other organizational or technical reasons, Spartan Race organiz ers reserve the right to change or to modify part or the whole course as well as some of the obstacles or cancel the entire race in order to ensure the safety of racers, spectators and organizers. ACCREDITATION Only accredited journalists, photographers and filmmakers are allowed to walk around all sections of the track. You can apply for an accreditation by email at info@sk.spartan.com minimum 2 days before the race or directly at the venue of the PRESS CENTER. RESULTS DETAILS During the race, results can be found at the Results tent near the finish line. Unofficial results will be posted online immediately after the race on the web page of timing company ONLINE SYSTEM. All complaints regarding the results, whether it is wrong written name, missing team member, errors in the measured times, or other complaint, athletes may report within 48 hrs. after the event and these complaints should be emailed directly to timing company. After this deadline no corrections and changes will be accepted. All complaints regarding the results, which will be addressed directly to the Spartan Race will not be considered. Please contact timing company, Online System. Thank you. Official results will be published within 3 days on our website and these results will be reported to the US world chart. FAIR PLAY Let’s have fun – no result is worth not following rules, cheating, or simply not helping others in medical need. If any racer behaves very dangerously on the course, the racer can be immediately disqualified. No racers are allowed to accept any kind of help from person outside the race. Any shortcut, not passing the obstacles or not doing burpees will lead to disqualification. It is strictly prohibited to throw any garbage on the course, if any racer does so, he/she will be disqualified. You can leave garbage at beverage stations – the volunteers have plastic bags. Let’s behave as Spartans! INSURANCE Every racer starts at his own risk. Registration fee includes accident insurance. We recommend to all racers a doctor visit before the race. The organizer is not responsible for damage to property or health related to travel or stay. Each racer must have insurance card.
