Conditions of Entry:
The event will be held in accordance with the rules and regulations of Speedway New Zealand
All competitors must comply with the current rule book and all supplementary regulations and hold a
current licence of Speedway New Zealand.
Technical Inspections: Please pay attention to rules E2-3-1 to E2-3-5.
In the event of a duplication of your racing number, Moore Park reserves the right to re-issue you a
temporary racing number for this event. Your machine must display the number issued and comply
with the SNZ rule book (no cardboard, paper numbers etc.)
Moore Park Speedway reserves the right to alter the format and closing date after consultation
with officials if deemed necessary.
Noise level maximum of 95dba will be enforced. The event sponsors’ transfers may be required to
be affixed to your machine
If you have forwarded an entry form and discover you cannot attend, you must notify Moore Park
Speedway officials in advance or as soon as possible.
All competitors and their crews must observe and comply with any directions from MPK officials
regarding the meeting procedures, venue, facilities, and club property, etc. Competitors are
responsible for the satisfactory conduct of their race crews and associates at all times while on the
premises.
In accordance with our local council by laws, no engine oil, fluids, or other poisonous / dangerous
substances are allowed to be discharged onto the ground. Please take your waste home with you to be
disposed of safely.
Smoking is not permitted in the pit or dummy grid area(s) at any time. No dogs or other animals
are permitted.
Alcohol is not to be consumed in the pit area before or during the race meeting. Anyone found
drinking alcohol during this time will be removed from the area and maybe evicted from the premises.
ENTRIES CLOSE SUNDAY MARCH 7th 2021 Schedule 12.30pm – Stadium Gates Open 1.00pm – Sign In & Bike Checking commences 2.45pm – Riders Briefing 3.00pm – 3.20pm Practice (immediately following briefing). 3.50pm – Grand Parade and Introductions 4.00pm - Racing Starts Any alterations, notifications or updates will be posted on the Moore Park Face Book page Rain Out: Rain out / postponement day will be at the next day Sunday March 14th 2021 1pm Practice: (3.00pm) Practice session length will be determined by the number of entries. Enough time will be allocated for all visiting competitors to be given a minimum of four laps practice with no more than four riders on the track at any time. For the safety of all riders - Practice starts will only be allowed inside the racing line on the back straight from a designated area after the chequered flag has been displayed. No practice starts are allowed during green flag laps. Further instruction will be given at briefing. Sth Island Solo Championship Format: Format will be 16 bike 20 heat plus a semi and a final but if we don’t receive 16 entries then Moore Park Speedway reserves the right to alter the format and closing date after consultation with officials with an Approved Speedway New Zealand format if deemed necessary. Helmet colours / covers are required and compulsory to be worn by all riders in all Championship races to denote starting grid position Sth Island Solo Championship Prize Money: First, second and third placings will receive sashes In addition prize money will also be paid out (from a pool of $600.00) as below: 1st $270.00 2nd $180.00 3rd $100.00 4th $50.00 Prize Giving: The Championship Prize Giving will be held in the Club Rooms after the conclusion of racing with a bar & food available for purchase.
Track Location:
Moore Park is located towards the Waimakariri River end of Weddons Ross Rd.
If travelling from the south on SH 1, turn left into Weedons Ross Rd. just north of Rolleston
From Christchurch head west from Yaldhurst on West Coast Rd (SH 73), turn right onto the
Old West Coast Road. (This is as the road bends) and follow. Turn right at Weedons Ross
Rd. Continue towards the end of Weedons Ross Rd. Moore Park is located on the left hand
side opposite the Canty Aero Club Aerodrome. A map is available on the Moore Park
website www.mooreparkspeedway.co.nz or Google West Melton Aerodrome.
Admission:
Competitor plus one crew member enter free
Spectators Adult $20.00 Child $10.00 Family (2 adults, 4 child) $40.00
Senior Citizens $15.00
Championship Competitors + 1 crew Free Entry
Note: Air fence levy for All Competitors : $15.00 per senior competitor & $5.00 per
junior payable at sign-in
