WHO WE ARE
The City of Atascadero is committed to building community by fostering an outstanding quality of life with
excellent public service, stewardship of the environment, preservation of our heritage and promotion of
economic prosperity.
The City of Atascadero has been offering many community classes, sports and special events for over 30 years.
The City organizes the Tamale Festival, Father Daughter Dance, Sweetheart Stroll, “A Party for the Planet” Earth
Day Celebration at the Charles Paddock Zoo, Brew at the Zoo, Ice Cream Zoofari, Cruisin’ Weekend with Hot El
Camino Cruise Nite & Dancing in the Streets, the Saturday in the Park Summer Concert Series, Movies in the
Gardens, Holiday Boutique, Zoo Boo, Light Up the Downtown Holiday Celebration, Winter Wonderland, and
Holiday Magic at the Zoo.

The entire community of Atascadero and beyond benefit from these events. There are more than 29,000
Atascadero residents and 279,000 San Luis Obispo County residents who love to enjoy all that Atascadero has
